I wanted to write a review of this place, at least based on my experience. I went for dinner with my wife, already craving a traditional Romagna appetizer and mixed grill. We arrived around 8:00 PM, and there were only a couple of tables in the dining room. The welcome entree, a small omelette, was a welcome treat. We ordered a cold cut and cheese platter, followed by two grilled dishes. The appetizer was nothing to write home about. The quality cold cuts and truly unique and refined cheeses justified the price. The downside came after the appetizer. We waited almost 40 minutes for two grilled dishes. But the real disappointment was the grilled dish itself. It cost €14, the menu specifying and highlighting a selection of pork cuts, but for a slice of grilled loin, a sausage, and three slices of pancetta. Not even a spare rib, or a piece of coppa chop to add two more cuts of pork. We spent over €70 for two, without dessert or any alcohol. Now, they surely have other excellent dishes too, I don't judge, the place is beautiful but not worth returning to. Moreover, in the dining room, which then filled up, there was only one waiter who was obviously busy.

Simply a perfect location and excellent food

A wonderful experience. The location is stunning, very evocative. The food selection is carefully selected and of high quality (obviously, you have to like meat). The beef meatballs, grilled cardoncelli mushrooms, and fried crescioncini were excellent. A special mention for the dessert! The service was competent and very pleasant: it's just a shame the kitchen was a bit slow that evening, but it all went well with a chat among friends. I would return.

I've been for dinner on two occasions fairly close together, the first with a group of 6, the second with a group of 11. Everyone was thrilled! Everyone, without exception. The location is beautiful, with a splendid view of the Romagna hills, the staff is courteous and friendly, but obviously the food deserves the highest praise! We've always had a wide variety of dishes, and not a single one has disappointed! The first courses were delicious, with several options even for me, a vegetarian. Meat lovers raved about the grilled meat, and the desserts were excellent. Everything was delicious! Even seemingly "simple" dishes like the crostini with mushrooms and cheese or the gratinated vegetables were exquisite. The wine cellar offers many quality selections. Truly two pleasant evenings and a great discovery! We'll definitely be back because the location and the absolutely top-quality food are worth the trip to Montecodruzzo!
