This is an excellent restaurant. Hand written manu with dishes that are traditional but not standard. Everything felt homemade and fresh. They took time to explain the whole manu to us. There is a lovely yard behind the dining rim so you can sit outside if you like.

We felt very welcomed by the owner and the waiting staff. The food was delicious, sourcing locally reared meat and produce. A good selection of wines and the owner had a good knowledge of local wines

Excellent restaurant, with praise for the ragù - the best eaten in Pisa - and for the availability and friendliness of the owner. Honest prices and nice atmosphere. Reservation recommended for the weekend.

A nice tavern just outside the center of Pisa.
Welcoming environment with both internal and external spaces and traditional menu.
Everything we had was delicious, the testaroli with truffles and the peposo with onions were notable. Even just my daughter's tomato pasta is delicious.

Prima cena a Pisa locale piccolo ma gradevole. Cucina tipica casalinga.
Abbiamo ordinato un antipasto misto terra e polpo in piastra con lenticchie.
Di primo fettuccine con pancetta pioppini e pecorino.
Di secondo tagliata di manzo con aromi e peposo alla chiantigiana.
Tutto molto buono, il polpo un po’ asciutto. Sicuramente una tappa qui la merita!

The first thing you can see in Osteria di Culegna Pisa is "superwomen" who give you place where you can eat. We ordered two times "Pappa al Pomodoro", "Testaroli al tartufo bianco", "Peposoalla chiantigiana con cipolla agrodolce", "Arista al forno con patate", "Croccette di baccala convellutata di zucca" and 4 times tiramisu. All of those dishes were excellent and made with love. The prize of one dish is 15 euros, which is affordable. Why? Becuase you are here, next to Pisa tower. Music is peaceful and you are feeling like you are at own home. Thank you on such joyfull time and good luck in the future!

Bellissimo! Very cozy place, delicious food, excellent service! The waiter explained the dishes in English, he tried very hard! Be sure to try Tiramisu, it doesn’t have a lot of sugar, which makes its taste special, I’ve never eaten anything so delicious before! I enjoyed the food and atmosphere of this place, it is a real gem in Pisa. I managed to eat here at lunchtime even without booking a table. Dogs are welcome; there was a cute pug sitting next to the next table, which only added to the cuteness and coziness of the overall atmosphere of the place! I would happily eat here again. Grazie!!!

We had dinner last night. What can I say: excellent dinner, well presented and tasty dish. But the real strength of the place is, without any doubt, the restaurateur: a real strength starting from friendliness and competence. Then the icing on the cake: unfortunately I was the protagonist of an episode that could have created many problems: I inadvertently spilled my excellent glass of wine on the ground. Some drops probably caught the coat of a lady sitting at another nearby table. Naturally I apologized to the other guests and offered to make amends in any way. Here the Restaurateur took the chair, with a capital R and not by chance, intervening with the Lady who had had her coat slightly stained by my wine, saying that she would be the one who, if anything, would pay for the cleaning of the head. An owner/owner with 110 cum laude given the city where her restaurant is located. Definitely coming back.
