Excellent traditional Roman food and wine dishes

The premises are very characteristic with nice writings on the walls of Roman proverbs and tables and benches in the old-fashioned fraschetteria style. The staff welcomed us warmly and Emanuele's table service was attentive and punctual with a pleasant note of friendliness. The porchetta is not cooked on site and while we waited impatiently and hungry for its arrival we started with some excellent beans and tasty bruschetta, then while we were making the shoe the mixed platter was prepared for us as an appetizer with His Majesty the porchetta together with 4 types of cured meats, cheese and ham. Separately we were served a dish with green olives and mozzarella. All very tasty. After the excellent starter we continued with the first courses, namely fettuccine with porcini mushrooms and truffle sauce, cacio e pepe and gricia. All of them received applause, including me of course, from the guests. Just to taste them, because we were really full, we ordered two portions of kebabs and a portion of tripe, demonstrating an authentic flavor and excellent quality. The house red wine with which we accompanied the meal turned out to be pleasant, without infamy or praise. During the meal, local artists entered the restaurant with accordion once and guitar the second time, singing Roman songs. It was pleasant and atmospheric. In the final thesis we must add the fact that the restaurant participated and won in Alessandro Borghesi's television program "4 Ristoranti", ranking in first place. The bill turned out to be in line with market prices.

Fully satisfied, I tasted typical Roman dishes with my family, including a sparkling Carbonara that delighted my palate... The service is impeccable... Next time in Rome, we will certainly return

Excellent food, friendly staff, a little slow in preparation. But if you want everything fresh, you might want to wait.

Pranzo alla fraschetta con abbondantissime porzioni : antipasto salumi misti, formaggi, mozzarelle, fagioli, primo di cacio e pepe, secondo di arrosticini di pecora, chiusura con ciambelline e caffè. Abbiamo mangiato tanto e lasciato anche molte cose, per la sovrabbondanza. Locale dalle scomode sedute su strette panche, nel complesso esperienza da fare.

Non è un caso che sia stata insignita dal premio di Borghese, io una "cacio e pepe così ", mai l'ho assaggiata in vita mia! Mi viene l' acquolina solo al ricordo... Ma anche tutto il resto è stato magico: dall' accoglienza, al locale, all'atmosfera, al cibo, al prezzo.....TUTTO. Non abbiamo ordinato praticamente niente, abbiamo detto : "FATE VOI ! " e abbiamo gustato una delizia dopo l' altra nell' antipasto infinito, per poi passare ai primi, e poi al dolce. Gratitudine infinita. È bello trovare posti così.
