I had lunch for the first time in this "tavern", encouraged by the numerous positive reviews. I can confirm the goodness of the food and the friendliness of the staff. The starter (charcuterie platter) and the first courses (cacio e pepe and gricia) were excellent, the desserts delicious. Quantity and good quality. Insignificant prices.

Liquid carbonara made with very fine spaghetti. cacio e Pepe salted to the limit of edible..Unfortunately the expectations were high but for us it failed. Friendly and helpful staff. Fair price.

Non è un caso che sia stata insignita dal premio di Borghese, io una "cacio e pepe così ", mai l'ho assaggiata in vita mia!
Mi viene l' acquolina solo al ricordo...
Ma anche tutto il resto è stato magico: dall' accoglienza, al locale, all'atmosfera, al cibo, al prezzo.....TUTTO.
Non abbiamo ordinato praticamente niente, abbiamo detto : "FATE VOI ! " e abbiamo gustato una delizia dopo l' altra nell' antipasto infinito, per poi passare ai primi, e poi al dolce.
Gratitudine infinita.
È bello trovare posti così.

Pranzo alla fraschetta con abbondantissime porzioni : antipasto salumi misti, formaggi, mozzarelle, fagioli, primo di cacio e pepe, secondo di arrosticini di pecora, chiusura con ciambelline e caffè. Abbiamo mangiato tanto e lasciato anche molte cose, per la sovrabbondanza. Locale dalle scomode sedute su strette panche, nel complesso esperienza da fare.

Owner always smiling and sociable with everyone, ready to listen to the clt and his requests.
As soon as you sit down you will be served bruschetta and a plate of beans... delicious.
You can choose from a vast menu...cold cuts, cheeses, porchetta, olives, pasta, meat and desserts. All accompanied by an excellent house wine.
Characteristic place, sometimes a gentleman comes to play the accordion.
What can I say...a mandatory stop for anyone who is in Rome and wants to eat well 👏🏻👏🏻

For a starter, I chose a rich mix of cured meats, accompanied by the very famous porchetta di Ariccia, which literally melted in your mouth, and a variety of typical Roman delicacies, such as olives and fragrant bread.
As a first course, I wanted to try two timeless classics: a cacio e pepe and a carbonara. Both were exceptional, with a perfect balance of flavours. I couldn't resist and also ordered the Roman tripe: delicious, prepared with a skill that pays homage to tradition.
To conclude, I chose a dessert, the perfect ending to an already memorable meal. Unexpectedly, the owner, with great kindness, gave me a bottle of homemade wine, which I tasted once I returned: really excellent.
