Trattoria simpatica, dove si mangia nella tradizione: fegatelli, ossobuco, pici e pure una leccornia come la trippa fritta. Il gestore è simpatico; il prezzo è giusto. Alla prossima, la prossima volta a Siena.

Small and friendly place serving Tuscan cuisine, where I enjoyed a generous appetizer full of cured meats, cheeses and ! Pods! To then savor some excellent pici.

Locale piccolo ma molto accogliente. Piatti squisiti sia quelli sulla carte sia quelli consigliati. Ho preso una tartare di carne con carciofi freschi ed è stata spettacolare!!! Lo consiglio caldamente!!!! Molto disponibili i proprietari e gentilissima la cameriera.

Excellent trattoria in the heart of Siena. We arrived a little while before they closed and they treated us very well. We ate an osso buco a la senese with chips that was delicious and pasta carbonara.

A local man invited my friend and I to dine with him at Cane e Gatto 25+ years ago. This was my first trip to Italy and didn’t realize at the time how lucky we were to eat at this very local trattoria. There was no menu, so we enjoyed whatever the chef served us and I wish now I had taken photos because I can’t remember. I only know that every bite was delicious. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. I hope to return one day to relive the experience.

07/06/2025: Excellent food. The price includes a starter and pasta dish, a bottle of 2020 Nobile di Montepulciano wine, dessert, coffee, and limoncello. The service was very warm. Highly recommended!!!
07/06/2025: Arrived in Montepulciano after exhausting trip from Rome with cancelled train etc…walked in to this Trattoria and were welcomed with excellent service, a lovely table outside and delicious food. A lovely start to our holiday. Chef’s special ravioli to die for!!

28/03/2025: Super well stocked, they have practically infinite types of coffee, every time I try a different one but my favorite remains Bourbon blend gold
