Here as a couple, the traditional Mantuan dishes are excellent, the polenta and cured meats as appetizers are very good, the Baffo tagliatelle and the trinchetti with donkey ragù, and finally the sbrisolona.

Osteria highly recommended by the people of Mantua themselves and they are right.
Delicious pumpkin tortelli, characteristic place and impeccable service.
The coffee with a taste of sbrisolona and their nocino digestive was the gem we didn't expect.

I went to lunch with friends. You need to book because the place is small, so they run two shifts. There isn't a classic menu but the very good dishes are printed on the placemat, I took the bigoli alla carrettiera: fresh homemade pasta topped with tomato, toasted bacon, sausage and beans and a very good dessert, the bill was a bit high €15.00 first courses and second courses €22.00 €104.00 for 4 without wine and with only two desserts.

Everything was very nice..
The only thing, we did not know pumpkin ravioli in Mantova is with amaretti.. was too sweet. Other than that, everything was good

We went to this place for lunch on the recommendation of our hotelier. The Osteria dell'Oca is located in the center of Mantua, the place is welcoming and familiar where you can taste traditional Mantuan culinary dishes. The service is excellent in terms of friendliness and efficiency, the price is normal.
We tried the pike with pepper sauce and musso both with super tasty polenta. To finish, the sbrisolona, a typical Mantuan dessert, accompanied by a liqueur offered by the tavern. Advised.

Small and noisy place. Pumpkin tortelli not to be missed. The other dishes and the Lambrusco di Mantova are good.
Too bad for the double sitting that forces you to choose between too early and too late.

In centro, a 5 mins da piazza delle erbe, ottima tipica osteria. Pochi tavoli, indispensabile prenotare.
Si mangia bene con i piatti tipici di Mantova.
