Credit Card Osteria Lured by the reviews, we went to this place, which judging by the prices, isn't an osteria, but a restaurant. On the other hand, the atmosphere is extremely simple (the menu is written on the paper "tablecloth") but well-kept. Please note that risottos are offered for groups of two or more. I should point out that in 2025, it's unjustifiable not to provide anything for celiacs or those with gluten intolerances (a pack of crackers or pasta is ridiculously priced, and even if the place isn't certified "gluten-free," they can still offer them). The prices are still outrageously inflated, but that's the current trend: a plate with a couple of spoonfuls of polenta and six slices of salami costs €14, a few slices of cheese with a little mustard costs €20... Look around and make your choice.

Truly excellent food and impeccable service. The daily menu changes, leaving you with a delicious surprise every time. The quality-price ratio and vegetable buffet are excellent.

We went here on the recommendation of friends, and our expectations were met: tasty dishes in true Mantuan tradition, quick and efficient service, and very friendly staff.

Osteria piccolina ma molto caratteristica, ha un suo perché. Servizio rapido e professionale, qualche sorriso non guasterebbe. Antipasti e primi buonissimi e porzioni abbondanti. Dolci squisiti. Molto particolare il fatto che le pietanze vengono servite in piatti di rame, da' un tocco di retro '. Unico appunto, la polenta un po' anonima e senza sapore. Prezzo leggermente sopra la media, ma cmq rapporto qualità/prezzo abbastanza buono. Siamo usciti pienamente soddisfatti. Consigliato.

Locale molto organizzato, indispensabile prenotare. Piatti della tradizione, abbiamo mangiato dell'ottimo coniglio e un buonissimo primo. Servizio buono, prezzi onesti, ambiente accogliente. Da provare

Osteria da Bice la Gallina Felice

18/08/2025: A magnificent experience. The food is the true star: free of unnecessary showy frills, yet plated with care and elegance. The detail is in the dish itself, in the excellent quality of the ingredients. You can feel a homey touch in the best sense of the word, that of comfort food that warms and satisfies. The portions are generous, especially considering the moderately low prices. The staff is extremely friendly, with a special mention for the owner: welcoming and attentive. The restaurant's aesthetic is simple, down-to-earth yet pleasant, and everything is clean and tidy. The wait times were very short, and we felt pampered: we never felt like we were missing out; on the contrary, our expectations were always exceeded and met. The outdoor area is wonderful: it truly feels like being in your own backyard with friends, almost forgetting you're in a restaurant surrounded by strangers. A place to return to without hesitation.
27/07/2025: A bit disappointed with the food. The steak was served cold. It wasn't listed anywhere, so we didn't eat it; it's not for everyone. My spaghetti (dish of the day) was also rubbish. And the price was very, very high. So, never again for us. Money wasted.

19/07/2025: I'm revising my previous review. This is a historic Mantua restaurant. Traditional dishes, but sometimes, in the kitchen, they lose their composure. On the last occasion, for example, we were served a first course that, to call al dente, was simply too much. What's disappointing is not seeing a smile. In other words, there's a lack of "friendliness," and that's a shame: perhaps the customer would appreciate it.
11/06/2025: Traditional Mantuan dishes, all delicious. The macaroni with stracotto were particularly appreciated.
