We ate well, the portions were generous and the prices were honest. It deserves it. Importantly, the restaurant only seats 40, you absolutely need to book

Small tavern, very welcoming, good food, typical cuisine, clean, warm place, very helpful staff and owners, I didn't give 5 stars for the food only because I asked for the cut rare but bringing it on a hot cast iron (or similar) continued cooking, even though as soon as it arrived at the table I removed it immediately, it was now overcooked (for my taste), not a good system in my opinion, however the meat was good. Super recommended, worth booking, advice

A wonderful evening. Delicious traditional Mantuan dishes. Welcoming environment and friendly staff. Delicious pumpkin agnoli and tortelli, the best I've ever tasted. Everything was delicious including the Lambrusco.

If your expectations are to eat traditional Mantuan food then you are in the right place. The donkey stew was, for me, an amazing discovery.

The place is very characteristic, clearly being small when it fills up with customers it is a little noisy.
Appetizers with polenta, cold cuts, succulent cotechino! First courses, well-cooked risotto, very original pumpkin tortelli (note: those from Mantua are typically sweet, if you prefer them without mustard and with a little amaretto go to Reggio Emila or Modena), we didn't get to the desserts because the portions are abundant and we were full. Mocha coffee, I like it.
Courteous and quick service. Fair price.
Now, it's not my habit to defend merchants because they know how to do it themselves, but I really can't help myself from this.
We had booked the first Sunday lunch shift at 12.30pm, at the time of presentation it was specified that the second shift began at 2.15pm, clearly we were not stupid in the slightest about the request for a free table at 2.00pm.
If you have not booked, please note that on the door of the restaurant there is a sign that says: WE ARE FULL AT ALL HOURS. I got tired of counting the people who came in to ask if there was room.....Then you are surprised if every now and then it happens that a restaurateur loses patience and is a bit rude......The End super cock.

Could improve. Busy environment. They do multiple shifts: about forty sessions. Better to book in advance. Good service especially the female staff. The food is plentiful and of good quality: keep in mind that you "have to" finish with the chocolate salami (not even your grandmother made it so good). Taste the purée: it could be a dish in itself due to its flavors and aromas (it is not French puree).

Con amici decidiamo di recarci per pranzo in questa osteria spinti dalle recensioni. Devo dire che la scelta è stata azzeccata. Il locale offre due fasce d'orario per pranzo, ma comunque molto organizzati. Servizio cortese e gentile, preciso e veloce. Locale carino e piccolo. Dal menù scegliamo peccato di gola, Agnoli burro e salvia, tagliatelle alla baffo, tortelli con salsiccia, acqua vino, caffè e dessert. Devo dire che i piatti sono stati tutti ottimi, ottime porzioni, e molto saporiti. Personale cortese e conto nella media. Lo consiglio. Allego foto e ricevuta. Grazie

In giro per Mantova ci fermammo a pranzare in questo ristorante. Locale bello e caratteristico, cibo ottimo cucinato con materia prima di qualità, personale gentile. Lo consiglio
