We stopped for lunch. The food was excellent and the portions were generous. Service was prompt despite the crowds. Unfortunately, the muggy weather prevented us from fully enjoying the garden, which was very hot. Excellent value for money. Recommended.

Thanks to the recommendation of the owner of the B&B where I stayed, I learned about this osteria, which offers traditional dishes while preserving the flavors, ambiance, and warmth of Mantuan cuisine. I can only comment on the pumpkin tortelli and the donkey stew, which my wife and I enjoyed. The dishes are very tasty and visually appealing. The portions are enormous; for those like me who enjoy small but tasty meals, the portions are easily enough for two. The service is quick and friendly, and reservations are recommended. Excellent value. It's a classic place where you'll definitely want to return to savor the other dishes on offer. Kudos to the chef and staff.

Found by chance, it's an excellent restaurant with generous portions! The price isn't exactly '5 lire', but the quality of the products is truly excellent!

We stopped here on the way back from a lovely trip to Mantua (first Sunday of the month, visit to the Ducal Palace for €1 per person) on the recommendation of friends... they told us to order just one course... and we later understood why...
Very generous portions, quality ingredients... charming location, rustic yet romantic... young, friendly, and welcoming staff. Excellent value. Beautiful both inside and in the outdoor garden under the vines.

"Truck-sized portions! 🚛🍝"
If you're hungry, this is the place to be. Huge, flavorful dishes, cooked just like they used to be. Fast and friendly service, no frills but with plenty of substance. My heartfelt advice: order a portion for two... it'll be enough and there'll be left over for lunch the next day!

Cenato in occasione di festa di compleanno. Primi piatti con condimenti tipici locali e porzioni decisamente molto abbondanti. Secondo molto buono, nello specifico optato per Bistecca Tomahawk (per 2 persone), molto buona.
Concluso con torta compleanno anche questa abbondante . Il locale risulta essere decisamente pieno, con molti tavoli in stanze un pochino piccole e questo contribuisce a renderlo carino anche se forse un pochino scomodo
