This was probably my favorite meal I had in Tuscany. The restaurant is tucked away on a quiet side street away from any crowds. We sat outside as it was still a nice fall evening. The food was delicious. As someone who loves strong flavors, I thought their pasta dish with garlic and anchovies was amazing. The atmosphere was very quiet and relaxing. We visited on a day where they did not close between lunch and dinner which was very helpful for our group who always manages to eat dinner super early!

We ate a spectacular white truffle tartare! That's why we also ordered a truffle steak... We were truly happy and satisfied. The wine list is beautiful and there's a lot of choice!

Welcoming place with friendly, smiling, and very professional staff who pay excellent attention to their customers. Excellent food and generous portions. Good value, and you'll leave feeling satisfied with your meal and, above all, with a smile on your face thanks to the friendliness of the entire staff.

A welcoming place, but the real strength is the manager and the waiters, who are very friendly and helpful. We ate very well, and the portions were quite generous. An excellent and varied menu and a good wine list. I highly recommend it.

At the end of the meal, my family and I enjoy ranking four restaurants. It's never happened before that we've given a 10. My wife and I did it for the pici cacio e pepe. I didn't even order a second course, but I did order a second helping. I'm thrilled.

28/10/2025: Excellent service and lovely atmosphere in San Gimignano. I'll be dreaming of the beef tartare with caramelized onions — wild boar pappardelle, lamb chops, tiramisu and of course, wine were also all delicious. We considered going back again the next night to try all new dishes. Definitely a wonderful choice for dinner!

Trattoria Piazza di Gioco

15/09/2025: We were here a few years ago and came back because it's worth it! Good, quality food and very pleasant service. I recommend it!
13/09/2025: We had dinner this evening at this trattoria and were completely satisfied. The platter of cured meats, bruschetta, cheese, and fried foods was excellent. Pici all'aglione, the chicken tagliata, and the fried fish were perfect, and finally the cantuccini with a delicious Tuscan vinsanto. Highly recommended.
