Osteria delle Catene In San gimignano

My wife and i had a wonderfull evening at the osteria delle catene. Chiara and her staff were very friendly and kind. 19/10. We are coming back ! Thank you for a perfect last dinner in San Gimignano.

Great food and great service. We were there for lunch and felt very comfortable despite the sun. We could have gone inside; the waiter came over several times to ask. The best porcini mushroom tagliatelle ever👍👍👍😃

We had dinner at this restaurant on Tuesday evening. Besides the excellent food (especially the peppered mussels and the pappardelle with wild boar), what really made the difference was the kindness and charisma of Mattia and Leonardo. Congratulations!

Pleasant evening, excellent food. Intimate atmosphere, friendly staff. The pici cacio e pepe were truly delicious.

A traditional Tuscan osteria tucked away in the heart of San Gimignano. The setting was beautiful with white tablecloths and flowers on every table, giving it a charming and classic feel. The service was decent, though not outstanding. We had a short wait for menus despite being one of only two groups there when it opened, and later it took a while to get our bill and a takeaway container. The food was good quality, with handmade pici that was perfectly cooked. I ordered the Pici all’Aglione—a very traditional Tuscan garlic pasta. While the pasta itself was excellent, the sauce wasn’t to my taste. It had a strong, slightly bitter garlic flavor that didn’t sit well with me, though I can imagine garlic lovers enjoying it more. Overall, a classic osteria experience with beautiful presentation and authentic dishes, though for me, the flavors didn’t completely hit the mark.

This trattoria serves traditional Tuscan cuisine, expertly prepared with authentic local ingredients, preserving and expressing all the flavors and aromas of true Tuscan cuisine, from ribollita to pappa al pomodoro, from pici all'aglione (a type of pasta) or wild boar, to melted pecorino cheese with truffles, to Florentine steak, and more. A welcoming yet simple place, with very friendly and helpful staff. A must!

Abbiamo pranzato nel dehors dell'osteria il 22 aprile. Posto tranquillo e accogliente, cibo buono e tradizionale al giusto prezzo, servizio molto gentile, con speciale attenzione verso i nostri piccoli.
