Great place. We had three disappointments in Rome Monti atea and wete not sure about this place too. We were advised by another sit-in customer when checking the menue and we loved it. Our host (Bul bul) was very kind and helpful despite us being late customers. No service charges (coperto) as well. All great.

The food is great. However, the service was extremely slow as the waiter lost our order even though we were only 2 tables in the restaurant. The prices were pretty fair, especially with the fact that the atmosphere around the place is not the loveliest. Overall, I’d recommend it only for the food quality but otherwise you could totally skip it.

We went twice because the Nerva Accommodation is next door, a girl helped us in the morning and a lady in the evening, both of them were very good. We tried some spagettis with carbonara and others with pesto, a delight, you could notice the fresh basil and the meat of the carbonara, nothing like what you find in Spain, then we tried the spagettis a la matriarch and the risotto, a delight, the portions They are quite generous

We went to dinner a little late for closing time and, even so, they treated us phenomenally well.
The food is varied and very good. Specifically...I loved the tiramisu.

Everything is very good, the atmosphere is cozy and the treatment and service are very good. It is a tavern where they offer good quality homemade food.
It is a good restaurant and we will repeat when we return to Rome.

Traditional restaurant with terrace, located in a quiet little street. Very few cars. Good, simple and hearty cuisine.

Food is great!! The pasta and mushrooms, both local specialties, were cooked perfectly. But the location? Meh. It’s just a side street outside of a subway station. Sure, it’s walking distance from the Coliseum, but don’t go out of your way to eat here like I did. If you happen to be nearby, maybe give it a shot. Otherwise, skip it.

Vengo spesso a trovare mia figlia a Roma e avevamo gia’ provato questo locale dove si possono gustare anche le famose lumache alla romana
Piatti tradizionali fatti bene, una vera trattoria romana dove anche i parenti che erano con noi questa volta sono rimasti entusiasti!

We chanced upon it as it was very near our AirBnB. Traditional Roman menu with lots of innards, tripe, brain etc. Our server said the owner doesn’t like to waste food. Sounds like an early champion of nose to tail dining!
The food feels very home cooked. The porcini and oxtail pasta were both very tasty. My husband liked the braised wild boar. The antipasto portion was small though.
Order the wine instead of cocktails. The Aperol spritz was way too sweet.

Good experience, good food and good service. A good value in cozy venue.
