Osteria della Suburra offers authentic Roman cuisine in a relaxed setting. We were very pleased with our entrées and drinks. The restaurant is a stone’s throw from metro Cavour and is definitely preferred to the numerous tourist-trap restaurants along Via Cavour between metro Cavour and Via dei Fori Imperiali.

The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious, with that wonderful homemade touch. I had the house pasta with the house wine and it was excellent!

If you want to sample authentic Italian cuisine and feel the authentic Italian atmosphere, this is the place for you. Mostly Italians dine there (very few tourists, which is a plus). Don't be put off by the decor, as it's typical of Italian eateries offering good, inexpensive food. Thank you for the warm welcome and warm regards, especially to the lady who thought we were from the Czech Republic (thanks again for recommending the delicious dessert).

Today I showed up without a reservation, the place is welcoming and the lady who served me was very kind, so I strongly recommend it, especially to anyone who wants to eat a "NICE" plate of snails.

Authentic, no-frills trattoria. I only had the main courses: Roman-style chicken and strips of meat with arugula, both perfect.
The side dish is a real highlight: hand-cut fries, not pre-cooked frozen stuff.

I recently got a bonus from a website (it’s shown in the attached photo), so I decided to treat myself to dinner. Great decision — delicious seafood pasta, rich sauce, generous portion. Everything was calm and relaxed, and the evening felt much more enjoyable.
