Stunning place, out of time.
Old school tavern, small and welcoming place where you can chat during a meal without too many problems, even for a working lunch.
Encyclopedic owner, a true and competent knowledge of wines, as well as an incredible narrator of his menu.
A memorable menu, all delicious, excellent quality mixed with the ability to fully exploit the materials used.
During a business lunch we stopped and to say that the bacon and coppa were good would not do them justice. Not to mention the priest's hat cooked at low temperature with vegetable base which I believe will remain in my top 10 dishes forever, a memorable taste and meltability.
What can I say UNIQUE!

I have been away from Carnia for longer than I spent there in my childhood.
I booked and entered the restaurant filled with nostalgia to eat Cjarsons again and was pleasantly surprised to find myself truly in Carnia, despite having Milan outside the door.
The innkeeper (because undoubtedly there is no better way to define such an affable and passionate host) deserves special praise, even if the cooking and the care for the dishes and the raw materials that compose them is absolutely no less .
Worth trying, especially for those looking for an authentic "Furlan" taste.

Unfortunately I only tried the tavern for a quick lunch, eating the traditional risotto (saffron) as it was cooked. The menu includes typically Friulian dishes. Well prepared food, typical traditional restaurant, excellent table service, clean place. Highly recommended. I will definitely return more calmly.

The Osteria della Stazione is in fact an old tavern with simple and welcoming furnishings, the true welcome is perceived by the innkeeper who accompanied us to the table and in reading the menu with truly typical and special dishes, we are talking about simple dishes typical of Friulian cheeses cured meats wonderfully combined with vegetables that enhance their flavours, we trusted him to accompany a good glass of 🍷 wine. I recommend this tavern for anyone who wants to try high quality typical Friulian dishes. With such friendly welcome and courtesy you are welcomed into this tavern, with the feeling of feeling at home among old friends. Congratulations to the host...

Very welcoming place, Mr Gunner very friendly and kind, in addition to talking to us about the history of the wine and the dishes he sat down to have a few words with us, which made us very happy, Mrs Sabrina who served us at the tables also she is very kind and smiling, very comfortable place and delicious, quality dishes, we will definitely come back to visit them, highly recommended✌️

🙂“Obbligata”dal mio compagno, (di origini friulane) ad andare a cena in questo ristorante non in centro a Milano; ho scoperto un oasi felice in cui tra frico e brasato, (pur essendo io di origini siciliane) sono riuscita ad apprezzare una cucina caratteristica “friulana” di alto livello.
Atmosfera: rilassante
Rapporto qualità/prezzo: ottimo
Oste: gentile, premuroso, attento e cordiale.

Ate well, stay well. Very nice and easy-going host, one of those with whom you would happily spend an evening but who if you say something he doesn't like will mock you for life. Nice like that, it's part of the game. Authentic Friulian environment.
He offers us a complete tasting menu from appetizer to dessert without giving us too many details on what we would have eaten unless after our explicit and repeated request. No menu is brought and the cost of the "trip" is not mentioned.
In the end: we ate well, we drank well, we felt good but already towards the middle of dinner our bets on the "price of the trip" had started.
When we arrived at the checkout it was 50 euros each (whack), especially because even though we ate well, the portions were decidedly small.
Excellent for company dinners or when the customer (or mum and dad) pays. We will avoid going back out of our own pocket.
