Truly excellent pizza and quality ingredients: in this respect it would have been five-star. Unfortunately, the welcome was virtually nonexistent: as soon as we entered, we were left waiting, without being acknowledged, and the initial impression wasn't the best. The service, overall, was also cold and unfriendly; we didn't feel welcome. It's a shame, because with a different level of customer service, it would have been excellent.

The restaurant is very well presented: elegant, quiet atmosphere. The pizza is very thin and generously topped. Excellent first courses. Stefano gave us good advice and was very attentive in serving our table.

The quality of the food is excellent, and taste is obviously personal. The classic cutlet is well cooked, and the breading adheres well to the meat. The pizza is unique: thin, crispy, and topped with just the right amount of toppings. The staff is friendly; perhaps I got the impression they were a little tired after so many years in the business. But that's just my impression, of course. It's not a cheap place, but the quality/ambiance/price ratio is right.

The food is very good, the pizza truly amazing. The only downside is that the owner and his wife are very unsympathetic. So our advice: a smile wouldn't hurt!

The atmosphere is refined, clean, classic, and welcoming, thanks in part to the fireplace in the main room. The place setting is minimal, with white tablecloths, wooden chairs, a small candle in the center, and stainless steel cutlery.
As for the food, I tried the pizza, and it was quite good. It's definitely easy to digest, with a well-made dough and just the right amount of moisture, so it stays a bit crunchy (especially the focaccias). The rolling out of the dough causes the pizzas to overhang the plates and appear quite large. The toppings are flavorful and just the right amount. Prices are around €11 for a sausage and broccoli rabe or a focaccia with prosciutto, arugula, and parmesan.
I didn't try the desserts; they're a bit pricey considering they're around €7.50.
The service is okay, a bit rushed, but it was Saturday and the place was packed.

I wandered into this restaurant by chance and found a clean and tidy atmosphere, with a very kind and attentive owner.
The menu is varied and comprehensive, from pizza to traditional Lombard dishes and fish.
I had baby octopus as an appetizer and spaghetti with swordfish and fennel as a first course, both well-made and tasty.

We've been coming here from Genoa for years just to eat the cutlet. Last night, the Montanara and Emiliano cutlets were delicious! And let's not forget the pear and Taleggio risotto. The Recioto della Valpolicella is also excellent. Excellent value, and the service is attentive, impeccable, and friendly. We'll be back soon.

I was a bit hesitant to write this review.
I called a couple of weeks ago to reserve a table, clearly explaining that there would be two of us, with the possibility of a third person joining at the last minute. However, the owner insisted repeatedly, demanding that we be extremely precise about the number of people and that we communicate by a specific time whether there would be two or three of us, claiming that otherwise he would "lose a place."
I understand the organizational needs of a restaurant, but the tone and insistence were rather rude and unwelcoming. Moreover, if there had been three of us instead of two, he would have simply had one more customer, not one less. So he lost at least three all at once.
It's a shame, because the pizza is truly excellent and deserves a higher rating. Unfortunately, however, courtesy and attention to customers are as much a part of the experience as the food, and in this case they were lacking.
