Everything was correct, the staff was very friendly and the food was more than acceptable.

Not an entirely positive experience. Attracted by the typical tavern, we went in for dinner. We chose an appetizer of cured meats to split in two, which included three slices of salami, some ham, a bit of giardiniera, some apple 'mostarda' which was more like a jam and then continued with cuttlefish on pumpkin cream and a defined piece of meat cut (most disappointing part). All accompanied by half a liter of almost acidic wine for a whopping €16. Osteria too expensive for what it offers
The only positive thing was the kindness of the staff

Pleasant environment, but the table they reserved for us (positioned between the kitchen, the reception desk and the cashier) really wasn't! Courteous service. With tradition, in my opinion, we are just not there: just enough agnoli, totally tasteless stew (where was the marinade?), very sweet mustard (Mantuan mustard, to be called such, must be strong: it contains the essence of mustard ). The only dish not typically Mantuan was very good: aubergine ravioli with pecorino and tomato fondue. Furthermore, a few euros too many for a largely unsatisfactory dinner.

My wife and I had lunch on Tuesday 19 November. Good food, welcoming place, attentive and friendly staff. Only one mistake in the bill, they made me pay for a bottle of wine instead of half a liter as I asked for and received. But no problem, we have already agreed, the first time I come by, my wife and I have a paid aperitif. 😜

Delicious and typical food, fast and precise service, unique and typical tavern atmosphere. Young and competent staff. We give special thanks to Riccardo who advised us and served us impeccably. We hope to return to Mantua soon and dine here again!!

Simply everything super excellent. I'll just tell you that we ate, pilot rice, fantastic pumpkin ravioli, cured meats, cheeses and horse stew, a bottle of Lambrusco and as soon as we got up we immediately booked for the next lunch which we can't wait to do again. Really everything duper and petsonal Nice, kind and fast. Well done.
