As the years pass, Osteria della Divina Provvidenza remains a trusted favorite. In the jungle of Lecce's restaurants, some of which are overly formal but lacking in substance, this restaurant remains the pinnacle of food, ensuring quality and satisfying a wide range of tastes with an interesting variety of dishes. The service is always attentive, professional, pleasant, and discreet. The atmosphere is relaxing and quiet, thanks to its multiple dining rooms. I highly recommend it.

Our meal wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. The brusque, nervous staff didn't inspire any positivity. It felt like management was improvised. I wouldn't return, nor would I recommend it. Special mention goes to the foreign waiter, I think Indian, who stood out from the rest of the staff.

We had dinner at this osteria in the quieter streets of Lecce's city center, away from the hustle and bustle. We ate quite well, some dishes very simple, others more delicious. The wait was a bit long, but the service overall was good, as were the prices. If I could make a suggestion, I'd redo the paper menus; they're a bit old and poorly made.

The place is dimly lit but still comfortable, and the staff is very friendly. I found the menu a bit dated and lacking in choice. Then, when you read about seafood and meat appetizers, you expect everything, not just vegetables (as was also stated on the menu). I don't know, it wasn't entirely convincing. The quality of the dishes was good, especially the tiramisu, but they lacked a special touch.

Servizio attento e puntuale, volevamo mangiare qualche pietanza tipica locale, accontentati con degli ottimi fuori menù. Antipasto mare/montagna e degli ottimi primi, prezzo corretto per un locale al centro di Lecce e dalle buone materie prime. Da consigliare

La pequeña entrada frontal en Via Francesco Rubichi, te lleva a esta caverna, o sótano si lo prefieres, restaurante, con sus paredes de ladrillo visto y techos abovedados, dando un espacio atmosférico de múltiples áreas, especialmente por la noche. Nuestra experiencia fue excelente comida, muy buenos niveles de servicio, y la casa vino tinto local que fuimos a por fue uno de los mejores que experimentamos en este viaje. En general, una muy buena visita para nosotros.

Trattoria Nonna Tetti

15/10/2025: The trattoria is traditional, small, and very welcoming, spread across two levels. The atmosphere is pleasant, although it seems the place is perhaps geared more toward foreigners. The dishes are carefully prepared and tasty, honest, but (perhaps with the exception of a few dishes) they don't impress with an explosion of flavors, despite maintaining a solid, traditional approach to cuisine. The cover charge (€1.00) is fair and in line with the type of service offered. The Antipasto della Casa (which was presented to us as a portion for two) was a bit disappointing: we didn't find a good balance between the price and the variety/quantity of the dishes. This could be an unfortunate exception due to the evening or our table, but it's an aspect that needs reconsidering.
14/10/2025: Our favourite trattoria in Lecce! Would highly recommend reserving a table because you would be extremely disappointed to miss out eating here! Always remember to ask what Nonna's fantasy is, we got extremely lucky and had a lobster pasta which was delicious.

07/10/2025: This place is all about true Pugliese food, and it’s definitely worth a visit. It’s better to reserve ahead — otherwise, be ready for a long wait in line. Once seated, we found the staff super friendly, the atmosphere relaxed, and the food very homey and authentic. We started with orecchiette al pomodoro (simple yet amazing) and ciceri e tria (a classic dish, though not really to my taste). For the secondi, I was surprised by how delicious the turcinieddhri (sheep offal rolls) were — definitely recommended if you enjoy lamb or sheep. The real highlight for me, though, was the polpette di cavallo al sugo — absolutely delicious! For dessert, don’t even think of skipping it. The toasted dried figs stuffed with almonds and the spumone fichi e mandorle were simply incredible, the perfect way to end the meal. A great place to discover authentic, local Pugliese cuisine with genuine hospitality.
