Very good restaurant. The landlady speaks English and takes time to explain the dishes to each guest. We were there yesterday and are going again tonight. (We leave tomorrow) If we come to this area again we will definitely eat there again.

This is a hidden gem in Casselmaggiore.
Before we finished our meal last night we already decided to dine there again tonight!
This is the sort of place that is cosy and comfortable with fantastic service that makes you immediately feel at home.
Barbara ensured good pairing of the meal with wine and we had to try a bottle of Lambrusco from the region.
The price is so reasonable for such amazing food.
Do not miss out on Osteria della Bassa even when you’re just passing by.

Sublime food. We ate fried dumplings with plenty of very good salami. As a first course, truly exceptional pumpkin gnocchi with gongorzola and chestnut flour tortelli stuffed with cooked shoulder and brie... delicious too! For dessert, a not bad nougat semifreddo. The portions are generous and in classic tavern style. Simple equipment but with everything you need. Price for two people with 1/4 of house wine €51. We'll be back!

Having always read excellent reviews, I thought I'd pop in with my husband to try their super inviting dishes.
We ordered the porcini mushroom carpaccio and cooked shoulder as a starter, while as main courses we chose 2 dishes of fresh homemade pasta (tortelli with cooked shoulder and brie for me, fettuccine with rabbit ragù for my husband).
It was all delicious, we ate heartily and enjoyed the atmosphere of the place, which was very jovial.
We will definitely return, because in addition to having eaten tasty food and at a fair price, we had a good time.
We felt pampered and at home!

Mi fermo per caso in questa Osteria perché sono di passaggio ed appena entrata vengo catapultata negli anni 80… L’atmosfera è bellissima, il cibo ottimo, porzioni abbondanti e personale gentile e simpatico.
I gnocchi di zucca con crema al gorgonzola da volare via!!!
Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.
Al mio prossimo passaggio da quelle parti, mi fermerò sicuramente di nuovo!
