Osteria del Vico In Gallipoli

Excellent risotto and pasta al cartoccio. Friendly and welcoming staff.

For a 4.3, I expected much more. The prices are a bit high for a set menu.

Even though I've been coming to Gallipoli for years, I'd never come across Osteria del Vico. It was a very pleasant surprise: excellent cuisine, fresh ingredients, and osteria-style portions! Excellent value for money (which in Gallipoli...is not a given).

Refined cuisine and well-presented dishes, balanced and fresh flavors.

What could be better for celebrating a birthday than a dinner with excellent raw fish and seafood in the splendid setting of Gallipoli's old town? I don't know, but we'll definitely be back to Osteria del Vico for more delicious food, served by the kind and helpful staff. Excellent value. Highly recommended!

Dining at Osteria del Vico was a truly wonderful experience. The food combinations and presentation were surprising, and the excellent quality of the ingredients was evident. The dishes had authentic flavors that made you wish they would never end. The raw shrimp were simply breathtaking! Congratulations and thank you for your unique delicacies.

Very nice resaturant. Very authentic as well. The food was really good, had grilled fish and pasta. The owner spotted we were danish, and told us about his relatives in Hirtshals. Very nice man.

Ero in giro con la mia famiglia all' avventura in comitiva con amici appena tornati dal mare e dunque molto affamati ed abbiamo prenotato perchè uno dei miei amici mi aveva riferito di aver avuto una buona impressione qualche anno prima. Siamo salentini del posto puntualizzo..... Beh, ci hanno accolto anche ad orario scaduto per un pranzo, erano oltre le 15,30.....L' accoglienza della signora è stata giò la prima buona impressione. Ci ha portato il menù e sinceramente quando ho visto dei cartoncini colorati scritti a mano ho capito da subito che eravamo nel posto giusto, dettaglio che fa capire che si guarda alla sostanza e non ad un menù fantascientifico o QR CODE....Insomma, ho consumato dei crudi fantastici, scampi, gamberi e tartara di tonno, ho preso poi una tagliata di tonno con pomodorini e rucola di una squisitezza unica, si scioglieva in bocca, sono sicuro di non averla mai mangiata da nessun' altra parte, premetto che sono un fotografo matrimonialista, ne ho frequentati di ristoranti e mangiata di roba....E che dire, abbiamo preso un po di tutto, la qualità del cibo, la velocità con cui siamo stati serviti veramente impressionante. Il prezzo veramente onesto per questi tempi...... Ci tornerò di sicuro, anche perchè amante dei crudi. 5 STELLE DORATE, per queste oneste e splendide persone.
