Even though I've been coming to Gallipoli for years, I'd never come across Osteria del Vico. It was a very pleasant surprise: excellent cuisine, fresh ingredients, and osteria-style portions! Excellent value for money (which in Gallipoli...is not a given).

What could be better for celebrating a birthday than a dinner with excellent raw fish and seafood in the splendid setting of Gallipoli's old town? I don't know, but we'll definitely be back to Osteria del Vico for more delicious food, served by the kind and helpful staff. Excellent value. Highly recommended!
