Dining at Osteria del Vico was a truly wonderful experience. The food combinations and presentation were surprising, and the excellent quality of the ingredients was evident. The dishes had authentic flavors that made you wish they would never end. The raw shrimp were simply breathtaking! Congratulations and thank you for your unique delicacies.

Federico welcomes you not as a guest, but as a friend. The cuisine is exquisite, the wine selection exceptionally select, and the ambiance is truly stylish. Nothing for the mainstream.

We had a truly wonderful experience at Osteria del Vico. It is a charming family run restaurant with an authentic and welcoming atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, Amalia, Federico and Vincenzo made us feel like honoured guests rather than customers. The food was outstanding, fresh and beautifully prepared, and the team were incredibly helpful in guiding us through the menu and suggesting excellent wine pairings. Their knowledge, kindness and generosity really set this place apart. What makes Osteria del Vico special is not only the quality of the dishes but also the warmth and genuine care of the people who run it. We left with full hearts as well as full stomachs and would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone visiting the area.

Osteria del Vico is a gem of a family run restaurant where you instantly feel at home. Amalia, Federico and Vincenzo could not have been kinder or more attentive. Their advice on both food and wine was spot on and added so much to the evening. The dishes were excellent, full of flavour and clearly made with care. What stood out most was the warmth and generosity of the team, which gave the whole experience a personal touch. This is the sort of place you will want to return to again and again.

Recommended by our local host Andrea, the osteria's antipasti are excellent and elaborate, worth the trip if only for them, the fried food of the day, a quiet, untouristy restaurant with friendly and discreet staff. Definitely recommended.

I've been returning to Gallipoli for 8 years now and I can never miss a stop at Osteria del Vico🫶🏼 the appetizers are special, they change them every year and every year they invent delicious things, the fish is always fresh and the dishes taste of the sea and good, every pairing is curated in a combination of flavors that envelops you and leaves an impression on you even the first and second courses are excellent, the service is excellent and Federico is always very kind.

Capito in questo ristorante solo per caso. Percorrendo la stradina del centro storico per recarmi in altro locale. Incontro un caro amico il quale mi consiglia categoricamente di fare dietro frunt ed entrare nel Ristorante del Vico. Tutta un’altra storia, dice. Locale tranquillo, tradizionale, senza grandi fronzoli. Mi confronto con il titolare, Federico, e procedo con un pranzo standard, antipasto della casa, misto pesce con aggiunta di alcuni squisiti gamberi crudi. Procedo con un classico menu scontato, una linguina alle vongole. Già sazio ma voglio capire di più e chiedo una semplice e banale frittura. Non ho fatto foto, come mio solito, proprio perché probabilmente non avrebbero fatto notizia trattandosi di pietanze classiche e scontate. Ed invece posso assicurare che poche volte ho avuto il piacere di assaporare dei piatti si scontati ma tanto autentici e ricchi di sapore e tradizione. Nulla di semplice né dí scontato, anzi. Lo consiglio vivamente dal punto di vista della qualità ma anche del prezzo onesto.
