Finally, a place that's different from the others, not standardized.
But above all, the food was truly delicious! I hadn't had such good agnolotti in years, with a truly homely flavor.
The house wine was also delicious.

Like being at home, the cold cuts are excellent, the roast veal is tender, the agnolotti are exquisite, even the dessert will delight you... Massimo is very friendly and Claudia is very good in the kitchen...

A dive into the 80s and memories in Alpine style. Lots of decorations, crests on the walls and tools commonly used among the alpn3 troops. Spartan environment without many frills, only one room, about ten tables, menu reeled off by heart by the owner of the house. Divine pumpkin tortelli and excellent stew agnolotti. They do not do a fixed menu but only à la carte. However, generous portions and homemade pasta a real poem.

Claudia è lei in cucina e con suo fratello Massimo l'Oste hanno creato dal nulla un vero capolavoro. Claudia quando esce dalla sua cucina per portare i suoi piatti della tradizione ai convitati si illumina la sala per il suo sorriso e quegli occhi scuri così raggianti. D'altro canto Massimo incanta con la sua bella parlata spigliata. Questa Osteria è una perla rara. È un vero gioiello per Casteggio e non solo. Lo è per tutto il territorio. Cucina della loro tradizione. Cucina che purtroppo non esiste più se non dall'Osteria del Vecio Alpin!

Ci siam tornati lo scorso venerdì sera, gli agnolotti sono i migliori che si possono trovare in un ristorante, sono casalinghi al 100%, ma visto che non c'era il pienone Massimo ci ha proposto un assaggio dei vari primi e un paio di polente da condividere, anche se pur pieni da tutto quel che abbiamo mangiato, un bollito con mostarda di Voghera e un verza con acciughe l' abbiamo preso. Buonissimi i Brasade' intinti nel vino, buono tutto e anche il prezzo e' pur i rincari e' ancora assolutamente abbordabile.
