A quaint place that evokes feelings of hospitality and simplicity. Here, substance reigns supreme, with distinctive, high-quality dishes and excellent service. I felt at home, among friends, despite the distance. I'm from the Veneto region, and it was my first time, but not my last. I'm sure I'll return sooner or later.

The ambiance is timeless, original, and almost fairytale-like. Delicious ingredients; I loved the polenta with Montasio and ricotta, the bowl for drinking the wine by the glass, and the handmade pasta. A simple place, just like it used to be. It's a shame I didn't try the boiled meat; maybe next time.

As soon as you step inside, you're transported to a bygone osteria. A warm, welcoming place with a family atmosphere, filled with memories of the past lining the walls. Excellent home cooking, featuring traditional Lombard dishes, all homemade. All this is complemented by the owner's warmth, kindness, and attentive service. Definitely worth a visit; you'll be delighted.

It's a unique place, near the Casteggio train station (closed). Worth a visit. Small dining room, simple and tasty food, very slow service. Decorated with Alpine memorabilia (skis, boots, water bottles, harpoons, hats, etc.)

We visited the restaurant for a lunch on the go. A wonderful discovery, we'll definitely be back with our family! We ate delicious local dishes, especially the excellent cured meats. Overall, the dishes are homemade and authentic, and the atmosphere is informal, perfect for a relaxing lunch, just like at a friend's house! The service is super friendly, attentive, and kind. The prices are in line with the quality and quantity. The desserts are also delicious, especially the peach tart. It's a shame I didn't take a photo before devouring it, but I was distracted by the deliciousness. Recommended

As soon as you step inside the Osteria del Vecio Alpin in Casteggio, it's like stepping into a mountain postcard, filled with memorabilia, paintings, and objects that tell the story of the Alpine troops. The restaurant has just a few tables, creating an intimate and authentic atmosphere, reminiscent of a true osteria from days gone by. Flavorful and authentic dishes, just like grandma's. The tagliolini with salami and Bonarda pasta, the polenta with gorgonzola, and the roast veal with boiled potatoes are all excellent. The house dessert, which they call "il mattone," is delicious—a misleading name, as it's actually simple and well-balanced. Friendliness and a family atmosphere complete the experience. An osteria that doesn't aim to impress with special effects, but rather wins you over with heart, tradition, and flavor. From me, it's a resounding yes. Highly recommended!
