In my wanderings among the taverns and simple places in the Oltrepò area of ​​Castello, I missed this visit about which I had conflicting references, but instead it was a pleasant surprise. Simple place without pretensions, good welcome, friendliness, braised ravioli (my passion) definitely good and on which I would give a small suggestion (reduce the filling to enhance the pasta and a small touch to the filling itself to give it more character). Bulk wine (bonarda) drinkable (perhaps a little too pimpy). Overall rating good to review for confirmation and to taste other courses. Carry on like this with pen in the wind.

Very clean and well organized family run restaurant. Traditional and very good food. Jovial owner and willing to respond to any reasonable request. 2 starters of cured meats and sweet and sour desserts, 1 first course, 1 second course, 2 desserts, 2 coffees, I repeat, these are not supermarket products, €48. The room seats around 30 people so it's always best to book.

Tavern atmosphere from times gone by, few but good dishes. The braised agnolotti had the same flavor as the ones my grandmother made at home.

Aperto il 15 marzo 2010 in una struttura nata un secolo fa per ospitare la mensa dei ferrovieri. Facile parcheggio. Nella bella stagione anche alcuni tavoli all'esterno. La sala dispone di sette tavoli per 25 coperti. In cucina Claudia Poggi coadiuva la cuoca; in sala il fratello Massimo e al bar papà Luigi. Piacevole musica in sottofondo; il pranzo: VINO (sfuso 1/2 litro): - Pinot Nero vinificato in rosato frizzante (si beve, come da tradizione, con la scudlei). Pane bianco di produzione artigianale. PRIMI: - pisarei e fasò. - tortelli con la cua di zucca (con la possibilità di scegliere tra burro e salvia o gorgonzola, scelto la seconda). SECONDI: - polenta con Montasio e ricotta affumicata. - polenta con salsiccia e funghi. DESSERT (condiviso): - cheesecake cotta con marmellata ai frutti di bosco. Caffè a chiudere. Vino sfuso 1/4, 1/2 e 1 litro; per quelli in bottiglia si chiede all'oste; à la carte un antipasto di "affettati dell'Oltrepò con accompagnamenti vari" a 15€; 6 primi da 10 a 12€; 7 secondi da 9 a 13€; 3 contorni da 2 a 4€; 3 dessert elencati a voce. Il menù è esposto all'esterno senza i dolci. Toilette all'esterno. Conto non dettagliato. Cucina dell'Oltrepò e cucina emiliana dalle ricette di mamma Rosetta. A fine pranzo i nostri complimenti.

Ristorante veramente buono non sarà chic ma si mangia bene e a prezzi più che onesti Una vera Osteria con una cucina casalinga e molto gradevole di tipo casalinga, ci torno sempre volentieri quando passo da Casteggio. Consigliata a tutti quelli che vogliono mangiare bene senza spendere una esagerazione.
