Stumbled upon this small tavern by chance, during a trip back from holidays. We ate and drank really well. Expertly cooked quality local products. The owner, Mr Massimo, a kind and friendly person, presents the menu in a very inviting way. If we pass through those parts again we will definitely return.

Typical rustic village atmosphere, the food is really excellent and well prepared. The fresh pasta with salama and bonarda is excellent and the cheese served with the super Voghera mustard is truly special.
Added value is the innkeeper and his father who contribute to making the meal convivial thanks to their kindness.
If you pass through Casteggio, stop and refresh yourself properly.
Really good prices and you leave very full.

Great discovery. The manager is truly a great gentleman, friendly and hospitable. He made us feel completely at ease and the fact that it has few seats makes it an even more exclusive and peaceful place. The manager's elderly father, I think it is the father, a great gentleman who with small steps goes around the tables always precise and punctual. What about the food: very good, the food of the past, simple but very tasty.

Vecio Alpin is a restaurant characterized in one word: "authenticity".
Just as the culinary offerings are authentic and faithful to tradition, the managers are genuine and sincere. Every detail, every attitude, reflects the love for roots and the passion for tradition. the serene environment brings to mind old family lunches and old-time holiday dishes. Highly recommended!!!
