Lovely decor, warm reception, delicious bits of appetizers; excellent menu and wine list; superb food, both the local orecchiette (alla crudaiola) and ravioli with a fish filling. The owner is willing and able to speak English (though we weren't!) with travelers without Italian. Mesagne is a beautiful town to visit and stay over in--and the Leone is highly recommended.

I discovered this place for a frugal business lunch, the place is well looked after in its extreme simplicity, the food is typically Salento and the courtesy of the staff did the rest. Average prices.

Very welcoming place, with attention to detail. An atmosphere of times gone by with embroidered tablecloths, porcelain plates and crystal glasses. Very thorough cleaning. We ate excellent first courses and very good second courses. Excellent quality/price ratio. It is highly recommended.

Delicious seasonal lunch, cooked to perfection. Standout dish tuna capaccio with pistachio and olives. Great service from our waitress. Wonderful ambiance and decor, modern and relaxing. A joy to eat here - best lunch in the area!

A place as delightful as its owner, a lady with affable and kind manners who manages the room and kitchen with attention and efficiency. Family atmosphere starting from the tablecloths and dishes that smell of home and tradition. We ate very well and the service was super fast and precise. The best orecchiette with turnips I've ever tasted! Excellent location next to the square and the church. Must try

Environment that feels like home but with an extra touch, classic but well-made dishes. Good quality/price, perhaps just the service was a little hasty and noisy but overall definitely worth returning

03/11/2024: When I'm in Ostuni, I can't help but stop in this bar: it's now a fixed stop! The specialty is the "Nun's Tits," soft, delicious and always very fresh. I highly recommend the pistachio ones, which are truly irresistible, but I must say that they are all delicious and with attention to the smallest details. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is always courteous and attentive. A perfect place to enjoy high quality typical desserts in the heart of Ostuni. Super recommended!
