Osteria del Gusto In Siena

Two excellent meals in two days. The pastas were the stars: Cacio e Pepe, pumpkin stuffed little pillows, an artichoke ragu over perfectly cooked spaghetti. Each was delicious. The small chocolate cake at the end, sort of a mini soufflé, was a perfect capper to both meals. Friendly, helpful service. Quiet at lunch, but buzzing at dinner in a lovely room filled with locals. Highly recommended.

I ate the hand-rolled cheese stew, it was very sticky and tasted a bit bland, I didn't like it. The meat dish we ate was delicious. Mascarpone dessert was also nice.

Place found by chance, where we were initially struck by the aesthetic part, very nice and well-kept, then we were welcomed by the courtesy and friendliness of the guys in the dining room and fortunately the dishes were also totally to our liking. We ate tartare, pici in various flavors, cheesecake and finally also the truly excellent Chianti grappa. The prices were also correct, even slightly cheaper than objectively inferior places. Great experience!

Siena, one of Europe’s oldest cities, is rich in culture, filled with beautiful historical sites, and home to what is easily the best gem I’ve discovered this year: Osteria del Gusto. This restaurant offers the true and authentic flavors of Italy, with a remarkable quality of ingredients. If you come to Siena, you must try their pasta! For my starter, I ordered the gnocchi, and it was simply outstanding. Just thinking about it, I can still taste the delicious flavors of the bacon, fresh pasta, and rich sauce that made this dish incredible. For my main course, I had a chicken escalope. It was good, but I quickly realized my mistake—I should have ordered more pasta! I also had the chance to taste a friend’s carbonara, and that sealed it for me. This place serves the best pasta I’ve had in my life. I finished with a classic Italian dessert, tiramisu, which was well-made and satisfying. The staff was extremely friendly, and one of the managers frequently checked in to make sure everything was going well and kept the dining room organized and spotless. Very professional! This was truly a highlight of my trip, and I highly recommend it!

The super friendly waiters and the dishes are a spectacle: The hamburger with chips was a marvel. I highly recommend it because it is a beautiful place. The food is also suitable for children (Children's Menu, very good)

Dopo aver visitato Siena assieme ai nostri amici di Granada, la nostra guida Giulia ci ha raccomandato questo ristorante. Ecco, abbiamo mangiato così bene che personalmente ho dovuto abbracciare la responsabile di sala per ringraziarla di quanto eravamo stati bene . E credetemi , tutto ciò, non mi capita spesso . Se mai tornassi a Siena vedo di prenotare per tempo. Grazie ancora.

Ci siete piaciuti così tanto che abbiamo fatto il bis.Piatti gustosi, ambiente elegante e al tempo stesso informale, musica in sottofondo molto gradita, personale gentilissimo e molto attento, titolare accogliente (e non è da tutti). Superlativa la cheesecake alle fragole, leggera e gustosa.Da provare e riprovare.
