Osteria del Frate In Torino

After reading about the 4.5 rating we were very disappointed. We chose the Piemont menu. We arrived at around 9pm, but if you don't want to serve food anymore you should rather close the kitchen a bit earlier. We felt like we got the leftovers. We got served sparkling wine instead of the white wine, that we ordered. Food was all ready made. Not nicely placed at all. It almost all tasted the same. Pasta and meat dish like 98% the same sauce. Much too salty. The tiramisu, I wouldn't call tiramisu. It tasted like the Monte von zott Kids pudding with a bit of biscuit. The Bonet tasted like straight out of the supermarket package. If you don't mind that and you don't have higher food standards it's ok food for ok price. Also Sundays at 9pm.

The food is decent, the owner takes his time time among all the hectic of his job to describe and recommend dishes. What I found exceptional was the hospitality, I went there alone and without reservation and this combination usually is a bad luck gurantees in many restaurants. Not here, in fact the owner had no rush to get the table free for the next guest even though the restaurant was fully occupied. I really enjoyed my stay here and can only recommend them. The only thing where I would advise caution: the restaurant is usually full, better reserve a table or come early.

Osteria found by chance online, very welcoming and warm place. Excellent and attentive service; very good food: the stew was much appreciated! Fair prices, I recommend!! PS the entrée with prosecco and pizza offered was much appreciated!!

Best veal with tuna sauce in Turin, magnificent agnolotti, overcooked like grandma made. Highly recommended!

Good food, really friendly staff and great prices. They offered the child a couple of samples. We will stay here again if we return to Turin :)

This osteria is a gem! A very warm welcome and truly delicious homemade Piedmontese cuisine. All the flavors of Italy come together there, everything was excellent, from the appetizer to the dessert (unbeatable value for money: menu for €25 also including an aperitif , water and wine...). A very nice discovery, I highly, absolutely recommend!

Locale che offre menu tipico piemontese e un rapporto qualità-prezzo elevatissimo. Siamo andati a cena durante la settimana e con un menù fisso a 25€ abbiamo mangiato antipasto, primo, secondo, dolce, acqua, prosecco di benvenuto e vino della casa.

Locale accogliente, pulito, curato e molto spazioso. Personale accogliente, gentile. Ci siamo sentiti a casa. Menu molto ricco. Consiglio il menù da 25€ con antipasto, primo, secondo e contorno e vino incluso, molto buono.
