Si mangia bene pur senza eccessi che comunque non troverete in nessuna trattoria della zona. Ottime le orecchiette e il vino della casa, la grigliata un po' meno. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Ci tornerei anche perché in zona non c'è di meglio.

Come un segugio mi sono fiondato all'interno del locale assaporando già il gusto di una cucina semplice ma ricca di sapori genuini. Il proprietario pervio del suo sapere ha saputo accontentare tutti quelli che mi antecedevano offrendomi un posto per me e mia moglie, nonostante il locale fosse gremito. Pranzo stupendo e costo giusto da coronamento alla bontà dei cibi. Quando incontri gente che non vuole solo i tuoi soldi ti senti a casa tua. Complimenti alle due ragazze che servivano ai tavoli ......due veri portenti, veloci sensibili e genuine come i cibi.

20/07/2025: It was recommended to us by locals, but we didn't find anything satisfying. The prices were high, not in line with the quality! The seafood appetizer was very disappointing, self-service and dated. The service was far too fast; it's obvious they're focusing on quantity. Not recommended for tourists looking for good seafood!

11/07/2025: Excellent in every way. Typical Apulian food. Excellent value for money. The owner, Mr. Pio, is a pleasant and kind person. We've been coming for 25 years. An unmissable stop in San Giovanni Rotondo.
08/07/2025: Found online, the trattoria boasts (perhaps in another life) numerous Tripadvisor awards and reviews that are nothing short of lavish. In my humble opinion, I have over 6 million views of my work, but the only truly beautiful thing is the cave in which it's located and the atmosphere it creates. The peasant menu offered is wonderful but poorly cooked: raw trofie, ditto tomatoes, sausage (just looking at it), and caciocavallo cheese that wasn't there. I don't want to continue with the orecchiette; I'll move on to the cheese plate for the appetizer: mozzarella from a few days ago, which fell apart in the mouth, double ricotta with flavor... well, let's leave it at that and say that Mr. Pio also boasted about using buffalo mozzarella, but perhaps he's really telling a lot... about buffalo mozzarella. Industrial salami (a thin slice in half), like the cheese with chili pepper, seemed like a low-quality canestrato. The fava beans with chicory were good. And yet I didn't say I wanted to save money. In fact, two starters, a cheese plate, and a bottle of water came to 44 euros! I'm sorry, my dear, maybe you were better before, and please change the chef, if that's what you call him.
