A Real Discovery in the Heart of the Bassa Parmense!
Last night I had the pleasure of dining in this typical Parma tavern with my dear friend, and I was simply amazed by the quality and authenticity of the dishes. It's a real shame that such an exceptional place is not yet known as it deserves!
We started the evening with two appetizers that turned out to be true masterpieces: the fried cake filled with gorgonzola and the fried cake filled with cooked shoulder. Both were sublime, a perfect balance of flavors and an incredible fragrance. Afterwards, we couldn't help but try the fried polenta with fondue, another spectacular dish that delighted our palate.
For the second courses, my friend opted for a fillet with pink pepper, while I let myself be tempted by a slice of patanegra. Both dishes were nothing short of excellent, well cooked and with quality raw materials.
Even the wine list, although limited, turned out to be a good selection of labels, perfect to accompany our courses.
We were lucky enough to dine outside, under the portico, cooled by the ceiling fans, and it was very pleasant. The only small note, which I hope can be a starting point for improvement, is that the interior of the restaurant seemed to be rather hot and would need air conditioning to ensure maximum comfort even for those dining inside.
Despite this small detail, my overall impression is extremely positive. The only discordant note, if I may say so, was the realization that on a Friday evening the restaurant was so sparsely crowded. An osteria of this caliber, with such authentic cuisine, deserves to be always full.
If you are looking for a Parma culinary experience, where tradition meets excellence, I can only warmly recommend you try this place. Do it before it becomes impossible to find a table!

We were on Easter Monday, it's not
It's obvious that you can eat well during these festive days, but instead we ate very well from starters to desserts.

Excellent group dinner with a mix of starters (cooked and raw shoulder, polenta and gorgonzola, delicious fried pie) and a trio of first courses (delicious purple gnocchi with hazelnuts)... and finally homemade cakes made by the owner. Wine served in nice cups. The whole group was also satisfied with the bill (€35 each). The dinner we hoped to find in Parma and surrounding areas.

Definitely one of our favorite places.
A free-range and authentic environment where you can eat incredible traditional cuisine.
The fried pie is crazy and the fresh pastries are no different, all handmade and you can feel it!
It's the classic Sunday place that smells of family and good lunches.
Truly highly recommended!
