Osteria Del Cacciatore In Roma

I'm from Germany 🇩🇪 and was only in Rome for a week. The restaurant was right next to my hotel, which is why I had lunch there. At first I was a bit skeptical but the food is really good. I couldn't do much with the fish plate because I don't like sea animals that much, but it was good and the teramisu was the best I've had so far. The service was also good We were served by an older man who didn't speak much English but communicating with Google translator wasn't a problem

Trattoria with home-made dishes. Honest menu and without deception. First courses, meat and sausages are the main dishes. Tuscan trattoria prices: average.

We traveled through several cities in Italy and this mom-and-pop restaurant was our favorite for the the authentic Italian hospitality and food. The owner didn’t speak much English and we didn’t speak much Italian but we managed to communicate and had a fantastic meal in a great atmosphere at a reasonable price. Our favorites were the bruschetta, gnocchi and tiramisu and of course the house white wine. We enjoyed it so much that we went there for dinner the next day as well.

The food is excellent. We ate there six times within a week - Scaloppine di vitello al limone, Bucatini all amatriciana, the carbonara, spaghetti al scoglio, the homemade tiramisu: all highly recommended!

Roman cuisine is the one you find in the traditional recipes of those who have respected them for a long time and between menu and service the simplicity of the dishes remains. Good price for the menu but for those who have worked in this sector for many years you just have to take your hat off

The first impression of the owner was quite cold, specific old Italian. The food was very tasty, fresh and quite cheap for Rome. After a cold welcome, the parting was definitely nicer. I recommend it.
