I was looking for good local food and found this restaurant. Good food, gracious and helpful staff. Kids welcome which is a huge plus for parents on holidays.

A very, very good meal in complete tranquility. We really enjoyed the products (fish menu for us). The wines opened, chosen by the server, really took us on a journey to Italy. Thank you for serving us as the only customer at lunchtime.

If you’re tired of the same old dishes typical of the area, this restaurant is must visit. Osteria del Benedet is a refreshing change and the kitchen was more than happy to improvise vegan options for me (which turned out great!). Quality to price ratio right on point. Definitely worth a stop.

Io e la mia compagna eravamo di passaggio tornando dalla montagna ed è stata una piacevole sorpresa. Personale gentile e disponibile, qualità del cibo ottima, prezzo giusto. Consiglio in particolare il polpo, spettacolare. Da provare!

15/06/2025: I traveled to Chiavenna by public transport via Prättigau, Engadin, and the Maloja Pass. I went exploring the old town of this provincial town. The alleys are bustling with life. My stay at the Passerini was absolutely delightful. The ambiance at the Palazzo Salis is inviting, the food is excellent, and the service is both competent and friendly. The value for money is good. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The return journey by post bus over the Splügen Pass is interesting. A very nice excursion with a GA or municipal day ticket to Chiavenna at no extra cost.
02/05/2025: Fermarsi da Passerini d mangiare bene, coccolati in tutti i sensi dell‘ alimentazione, della gentilezza e della simpatia. Questo tris per molti ristoratori risulta talvolta arduo, qui é la regola aurea.
