Lunch in the center of Arezzo on a very busy Sunday, both for the Saracen Joust and the antiques fair. Despite the crowds, this osteria served delicious food, and the staff were very courteous and professional. Thank you so much and best of luck for the future! 💪🏻

The food was average, nothing special, even the pizza had deteriorated compared to a few years ago. The service was always confusing, and at our table of four, the food arrived at four different times, and with a long time between them.

Restaurant-pizzeria in the center of Arezzo. Modest place, slightly listless staff with few smiles (perhaps the August heat contributes). We ordered two potato cakes with truffles as an appetizer, and honestly, they weren't bad. It's a shame one arrived first and I had to wait about 15 minutes for the other. For our main course, we opted for pizza, with pre-made crusts and very little toppings on top, and not of any quality. I would focus more on the restaurant and remove the pizza because it has potential but isn't being exploited, in my humble opinion. Overall, the price was reasonable: €45 for two people, plus water and three small draft Cokes.

Hosteria La Vecchia Rota

26/04/2025: Dopo una prima cena nell'estate 2021 (che ci aveva lasciato ottimi ricordi!), siamo riusciti a tornare in una stagione differente...il menù si è confermato ottimo (crostini, pici alla nana - con ragù bianco d'anatra - maialino e crema al mascarpone - divina!), i sapori forti ma in linea con territorio e tradizione, l'accoglienza ottima (un grazie per averci aspettato nonostante il ritardo causa traffico dalla Liguria!). Insomma, una garanzia! Torneremo presto!
24/03/2025: Io e la mia fidanzata veniamo spesso in questa osteria ed ogni volta ci sorprendiamo della bontà dei piatti proposti da Massimo. Da provare assolutamente il crostino nero bagnato nel brodo i pici con la nana e il maialino cotto al forno. Ottimo anche il servizio veloce e cordiale . Ti fanno sentire come a casa.

13/07/2025: Excellent food. This is a restaurant we've been going to for about twenty years when we're in the area. Unfortunately, the service is pretty poor. Last time, we asked for an amber beer and they brought us a 7% red beer instead. We ordered the Florentine steak, but they brought us the tagliata. Also, the wooden floor outside is shaky. When someone walks past you, it feels like you're sitting on a boat.
