We met the guys from Maltagliati at a dinner and, intrigued, came to try their restaurant. You arrive in Torano, a small hilltop village, and the restaurant is in the center: welcoming and well-kept, with an open kitchen with a grill where they prepare almost the entire menu. If you have the chance to see them at work in the dining room in front of the grill, they are serious and professional, but above all, well-prepared. Cuisine like this comes from study and dedication: we ordered the tasting menu and it's hard to find a better dish... the crescia, the spit-roasted heart, the sweetbreads, the quail and lamb, and many other dishes. The staff in the dining room are attentive and loving. We had a great time and can't wait to come back because having the courage to cook like this is uncommon. Excellent!

It's been a while since I've dined at a place where atmosphere, food, and service blended so well.
To be honest, I ordered the entire menu, but it was worth it.
My only recommendation is to sit down and let the staff, who are extremely professional, guide you.
Nothing is left to chance, from the aromas present in every dish to the decor.

Young, dynamic, welcoming. An extraordinary chef and a wonderful location. We had lunch at Osteria dei Maltagliati, opting for the seven-course tasting menu: a fantastic experience. I'm having a hard time choosing a particular dish, but I have to mention the pork heart. Amazing!

We chose the five-course tasting menu, along with a reasonably generous bottle of wine. Everything was delicious, and great attention was paid to the menu and service. Very, very good. The young owners exude passion. A great result!

This place stole our hearts; we can only give it the maximum number of stars available. I had the pleasure of sampling various courses with my partner on a special occasion: the osteria was perfect for this, offering a romantic and evocative atmosphere.
We were lucky because we ended up at a table right in front of the pass and were able to watch the chefs at work. We were welcomed; the very first thing we tasted was the fried cheese, and we both immediately thought it would be a sublime dinner—that's the only word that can describe it.
We opted for the seven-course tasting menu chosen by Chef Maicol, and each one amazed us: Abruzzo is served at the table, with passion and respect for the flavorful and authentic ingredients, but with a little something extra. The risotto stole our hearts, as did all the appetizers, the pre-dessert, and the dessert, which were truly the icing on the cake. The staff were cheerful, passionate, welcoming, and kind. We spent a pleasant and romantic evening, eating excellent food and drinking good wine, in a place that captivated us from the moment we entered.
It's worth a visit, and we can't wait to return.
As a chef myself, I'm proud of these guys and the character they've brought to their menu. I wish them all the luck in the world, even if it's unnecessary, as they're incredibly talented.
