There are few places where I go to eat and feel truly at home. I Briganti di Scampitella is one of them. Mario and Maurizio are two exceptional guys. I will never stop thanking them because, with their great sacrifices, they bring prestige to our region in the restaurant business. I Briganti has now become a restaurant that embodies the identity of our beloved Irpinia region, and we should be proud of this. Maurizio and Mario pay attention to everything: from the choice of raw materials to the selection of products, always of the highest quality, with great respect for the territory and for true 0 km. And every time I return to savor one of their extraordinary dishes, which seems simple but actually embodies technique, tradition, and soul: pancotto with broccoli, extra virgin olive oil, cheese, and crispy dried peppers. A dish that is a true culinary experience. One that alone is worth the trip up here. You are unique. You are home. I love you Andrea

We stumbled upon this osteria on a trip to Matera, and on our way back we stopped specifically to enjoy the high-quality local produce, cooked to perfection. Highly recommended.

We were looking for a typical local restaurant, and at a service station, the girl at the bar recommended this place to us. Without hesitation, we took the first exit off the highway and arrived at this osteria. What can I say? Authentic flavors, the quality of the ingredients pairs perfectly with the friendliness of the owner! Everything was truly excellent. It will be our regular stop when we return to this area. Going to Osteria dei Briganti has become a regular stop on my way home from Rome. Mario and Maurizio's kindness is top notch, and the food is superb. Everything is excellent, we feel right at home. Thank you so much.

On our way to Barletta, we stopped here for lunch. The appetizer was excellent, featuring local cured meats and cheeses grilled with truffles, followed by a fantastic bucatini alla scarpariello, freshly made sausages and potatoes, and a sensational caramel panna cotta. The owners, two truly kind people, and their staff are equally as gracious. The place is homey, yet neat and clean. I highly recommend it.

I enjoyed a complete lunch, based on truffles... everything was very good and every detail was taken care of, from the appetizer to the coffee... a treat for the body and the mind... highly recommended!

A true osteria. Delicious food, authentic ingredients, and authentic people at work. As an Italian living abroad, I was longing for Campanian cuisine. And I can say I finally ate well here. Everything was delicious and nutritious. The house wine was medicine for the soul. A must if you travel around here!

I went to Osteria dei Briganti with my wife for a surprise birthday celebration; a lunch for two after a long time in which, as new parents living away from home, we hadn't been able to enjoy such a moment together. It was exactly what I wanted, and I left knowing it was exactly what I wanted, and even better. Truly delicious food, a simple yet refined, family-friendly atmosphere. The service was excellent, kind and friendly, yet at the same time familiar. I had asked for two candles to be added to the cake, and they happily obliged. A place I would return to again and again because the passion behind the dishes is evident and tangible. Bravo!

01/03/2026: I went for dinner; the place was simple, but the food was excellent and the ingredients were high-quality. The owner was friendly and very helpful.
28/02/2026: We went to Le Gourmet in Sperone and had a truly wonderful experience. The staff was friendly, professional, and immediately made us feel at ease. The restaurant is well-kept and welcoming, one of those places where you instantly feel at home. We chose a rich and varied appetizer: fried cod and broccoli rabe (crispy on the outside and soft on the inside), sea bream with escarole and Acerra "dente morto" cannellini beans (delicate and well-balanced), leek and potato flan with Castelmagno and mace (creamy and fragrant), and a mini sandwich with pulled beef, caciocavallo cheese, and crispy onion, delicious and full of character. For our first course, we had the risotto with walnuts, anchovies, black garlic, and Fiano sauce: creamy, enveloping, with fantastic textures. For our second course, the cod alla pertecaregna 2.0, a truly successful reinterpretation of tradition. We finished with the mandarin dessert, truly amazing. Excellent ingredients, great attention to quality and local produce. It's a place that has won our hearts.
