Osteria dei Briganti In Scampitella

A circa 4 km dal Casello di Vallata, in una stradina all'ingresso del paesino di Scampitella, si trova questa sorprendente osteria. Ambiente spazioso, confortevole, caldo e accogliente. Siamo stati simpaticamente ricevuti dal proprietario che ci ha attentamente seguito e consigliato durante il pranzo. Abbiamo gustato svariati antipasti tra cui peperoni ripieni, frittata con formaggi locali, peperoni fritti,finocchi al forno, zuppa di fagioli con funghi porcini, cicorielle campestri saltate in padella, vellutata di zucca con mandorle affettate e scagliette di parmigiano, asparagi con pomodorini e aceto balsamico e qui ci siamo fermati nonostante ci fosse tantissimo ancora da assaggiare. Come primo abbiamo ordinato delle ottime tagliatelle ai funghi porcini (locali ma surgelati) e degli eccellenti spaghettoni allo scarpariello. Per dolce un sublime flan al cioccolato, della casa, riscaldato nel caminetto, servito con panna e fragole. Prodotti di qualità a km zero. Tutto veramente eccellente. Servizio, attento e veloce. Prezzi onestissimi. Complimenti. L'Osteria dei Briganti d' ora in poi sarà tappa culinaria obbligata in occasione dei nostri viaggi in A16. Consigliatissimo.

The restaurant, private and welcoming, is managed by the owner who is very kind, friendly and attentive to any requests from customers. I had lunch with some friends, we all appreciated the quality of the dishes and the freshness of the products. We tasted a trio of first courses, all excellent, and some very tender and tasty baked kid... to be honest... exceptional! We finished lunch on a high note with several homemade desserts. An authentic experience in Scampitella! On the advice of a friend I went to the Osteria dei Briganti in Scampitella with two friends and I must say that it was a truly pleasant experience. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with rustic decor that makes you immediately feel at home. The staff is friendly and helpful, always ready to advise you and satisfy your every request. The menu offers a wide choice of traditional Irpinian dishes, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. We started with a house bruschetta, then moved on to 3 courses of appetizers: 1. slices of raw ham, culatello, knots, olives, ricotta, pork sausage and homemade cheese; 2. oven-cooked fennel accompanied by porcini mushrooms, peppers and omelette in addition to the potato and pepper dish; 3. grilled caciocavallo and caciocavallo with porcini mushrooms and truffle. Next we tasted two exceptional first courses: 1. the "scarpariello" or chiatarra troccoli with a particular sauce and homemade cheese (a crazy and incredible pleasure) that leads you to make many delicious shoes; 2. tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and truffle, a real treat! After the first courses we tasted 2 second courses, one of which was meat with sliced ​​meat and porcini mushrooms (better to have it with rocket and parmesan) and a plate of steamed cod with chilli pepper and fried oil (a magnificent dish!) To conclude we tasted the house tiramisu as well as coffee and ammazza caffè (the barricade). The tavern offers an exceptional wine: His Majesty the Aglianico!, I won't hide from you that the friends "drank" two bottles as if they were water :-D! perfect to accompany dishes. What can I say? Osteria dei Briganti is the perfect place to enjoy true Irpinian cuisine in an authentic and familiar environment. If you are in Scampitella (AV), you cannot miss this culinary experience! It is located 5 minutes from the Vallata motorway exit! Try it to believe it! Highly recommended!
