A typical Roman fraschetta serving traditional Roman dishes. The cured meat appetizers are delicious, with a special mention for the porchetta, flavorful and well-balanced. The arrosticini are also excellent, grilled, fragrant, and flavorful. The bucatini and artichokes are average.

I dined at La Fraschetta del Vignaiolo and I must say it was an authentic experience, one that truly makes you feel like you're in the Castelli Romani. As soon as I entered, I breathed in the rustic and authentic atmosphere I expected: wooden tables, a simple yet refined setting, and the scent of porchetta and Castelli Romani wine wafting through the air. The staff was immediately friendly, with that direct and warm manner that puts you at ease without excessive formality. I started with a mixed house antipasto: flavorful and well-spiced porchetta, fresh cured meats, and cheeses accompanied by fragrant homemade bread. Everything was plentiful, as per the Fraschetta tradition. You can tell the ingredients are carefully selected, without too many frills but with substance. For my first course, I tried a traditional Roman pasta dish (cacio e pepe in my case) and found it perfectly creamy, well-stirred, and with a perfect balance of pepper and pecorino. Generous portions, the kind that make you smile as soon as the food arrives at the table. The house wine deserves a special mention: simple, sincere, and perfect for pairing such flavorful dishes. It's one of those wines that don't need to dazzle with special effects, but that do their job admirably. The quality-price ratio also seemed very good, especially considering the generous portions. You leave feeling full and satisfied. In short, it's the right place if you're looking for a convivial experience, well-prepared traditional Roman dishes, and an unpretentious yet authentic atmosphere. I would gladly return, perhaps with friends, to share another evening of good food, wine, and heartfelt conversation.

This isn't a Michelin-starred restaurant, but it's a must-visit if you want to sample the best of Roman cuisine and soak up the atmosphere of old-fashioned taverns. All served in generous quantities and at fair prices. The large, often crowded restaurant makes the wait staff's job difficult, and the occasional order gets lost along the way. But all is forgiven by the atmosphere, which encourages a lighthearted enjoyment and, with the help of a nice Castelli wine, encourages a carefree enjoyment.

We had dinner there and were very pleased with the attentive and respectful staff, the high-quality food, and the very welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend it!
