Osteria "Dar Matriciano" In Ariccia

From Naples we went to this little restaurant where we had a great time. The girls were available right away and what can I say... everything was delicious. cutting board, croquettes (highly recommended) and the legendary carbonara. We will definitely return

It was the first time I went to this restaurant and I can say that I tried typical Italian food. They have several starters and the carbonara was very good and I recommend it. In large groups, prepare to drop the note.

Driven by viral videos, we decided to try it !! The restaurant obviously offers the classic Roman dishes but with innovative proposals. Worth trying is the porca porchetta (a sort of meatball made with porchetta and fried provola cheese) which was really good and the carbo bombetta although a little too tasty. The platter was delicious but what we didn't like was receiving the hot focaccia 15 minutes before the platter itself and therefore cold to accompany it with the cured meats. The former are well seasoned and very good pity that here too a dish arrived first and after 5 min the other. Excellent value for money, including a portion of biscuits with wine and water, the bill was €64 for four! Overall therefore good food but I don't give 5 stars just for the organisation!! We will return, perhaps with the hope of giving the maximum score this time

I went there a couple of years ago and was pleasantly surprised by the carbonara: without a doubt in my top 3. I went back on Saturday, and my thoughts on the matter have not changed... but what has changed in this period of time, alas, are the type of pasta (still excellent), the price and above all the quantity (I attach two "proof" photos, taken by me in 2022 and 2024 respectively). Another negative note: very limited choice of second courses and desserts. The appetizers, however, are delicious. The place is very small, the service pleasant. I really hope they go back to serving the same portions as before, because the quality is truly excellent!

Simply spectacular and staff very attentive to my requests

Delicious and varied appetizers. Abundant first courses. The cacio e pepe very good. We also tried the straccetti with sautéed chicory. Excellent! Fast service, small place so it's best to book.

Known by chance. Small trattoria (tavern) with a lot of choice of dishes. From the appetizer, to the first courses, to the second courses. I recommend it.

Normal food. Fast and friendly service, small but welcoming environment. I was disappointed with the bill. The waitress told me an amount. I go to the cash register to pay and another waiter increases it by three euros.

I immediately understood that I would be happy to taste excellent porchetta and other succulent dishes. The hospitality and friendliness was exceptional at first glance. Thanks to Matteo, with whom we immediately became friends, I felt like I was a guest at a friend's house. I highly recommend trying their a la carte dishes. I will definitely go back.
