It is a restaurant "of matter", not just "of technique". What has always satisfied me - and the main reason why I go from Vicenza to Venetian Cologna to eat - is the quality of the raw materials, from the cold cuts (I have never eaten such fragrant and sweet raw meat in a restaurant) to the risottos and the tagliatelle.
I understand that those in the kitchen know the foods, have a "palate", know how to select suppliers and know how to treat rice.
I also really appreciate the wine selection, which is very well looked after.
It's a place I've been frequenting for a few years, both for lunch during work breaks, and sometimes for dinner, a little more relaxed.
The new external bioclimatic pergola allows you to dine with a wonderful view and a welcoming atmosphere.
The price is perfectly calibrated compared to the very high quality of the kitchen ingredients.

Overall, a place where you feel good, I go there when I'm nearby on my lunch break because I know it's a guarantee.
The menu is very flexible with the possibility of choosing variations outside of it.
The staff is welcoming and warm in the right way.
You can breathe passion, the right amount of sophistication and familiarity.

Very positive experience: Barbara and Ivano are two ultra kind and friendly people. Super and fast service. Barbara in the dining room is a splendid hostess and Ivano with his delicious dishes makes you want to come back. I will never forget the exquisite taste of the guinea fowl risotto and the first boiled meat in my life. Not to mention the selection of cured meats that melt in your mouth. Well done, well done, well done. We'll see you again soon!!!

I was a few days ago with some friends. Our table was on the fully heated veranda with a view. We had an appetizer with cured meats, cheeses and vegetables typical of the area for everyone.
As a first course, each of us chose what we wanted from the menu. I ate bigoli with sardines. Fantastic!
Secondly, some vegetables, some meat.
For the desserts, Barbara, the friendly and smiling owner, delighted us with 6 different desserts prepared by the chef as well as "the other owner" Ivano.
Wine deserves a separate story.
It doesn't have a huge wine shop but you can find bottles from small national and foreign companies at not too high prices.
We will certainly return again because the quality of the food, the wine and the family environment made us spend a completely relaxing evening.
As I forgot, the final bill for what we ate and drank was fair. See you soon.

We were in the area. We opted for this place. The bigoli with duck ragout are excellent. The gnocchi are delicate. The mixed starter and the almond semifreddo were excellent. Excellent wine list. Advised.

Una sorpresa! Entrando si respira un’atmosfera familiare. Persone accoglienti e simpatiche. Ci siamo deliziati con un risotto da 10 e lode per concludere con un ovetto sodo che mi ha ricordato mia nonna. Vini di pregio in un’atmosfera romantica che trasformano una cena in un’esperienza. Consigliato vivamente.
