Big Roma family dinner! Great vibes. We sat inside but the patio looked great. The eggplant parm and cacio e pepe both showed up and showed out. Simple and rich, I could eat it every day. This is exactly what Roman comfort food is supposed to taste like. Service was weird. The dude lied about his name likely because we are from the US but the joke was on him, we had someone with significant Italian History with us so John, Giuseppe, Tarquinius, whatever your name is, do better for tourists, before you’re overthrown and expelled from Rome 😉.

The best carbonara and pasta in general is from this place. There's a waiter who speaks Spanish and the service is excellent. The place is really nice; I hope to return.

The best restaurant I have found in Rome so far…
Excellent pasta, very homely atmosphere.
They write the price of lunch in pen on the tablecloth

Best Carbonara I've ever had. The rest of the family loved the food. Incredibly good.

Pleasant atmosphere, no feeling of being rushed (reservations highly recommended).
Carbonara and Coda alla Vaccinara were good (not outstanding). Desserts (tiramisu, panna cotta; a cake whose name I've forgotten) were disappointing (e.g., the panna cotta was made with far too much gelatin and topped with cheap syrup).

We were there a few days ago, and of the five trattorias/osterias we visited in Rome, this is the most Roman. The Grigia, Amatriciana, Carbonara, and Cacio e Pepe were spectacular! The saltimbocca was delicious, with excellent puntarelle. The friendliness and hospitality were 11 out of 10!

As soon as you enter, you're greeted by the music of Nicola di Bari, and you have a moment—but only a moment—of disorientation.
Then, you sit down, and dishes like rigatoni with pajata begin to arrive, and you realize the tune has changed, and the disorientation immediately transforms into mental and physical well-being.
To ensure you're not missing out on anything, they bring you suckling pig with potatoes accompanied by a tempting dish of puntarelle with anchovies.
The atmosphere is jovial and cheerful, the dishes are cooked to perfection, filling and satisfying those lucky enough to eat them. The wine is one that helps you assimilate the dishes, and the service is courteous, polite, and efficient. The bill is fair. What more can I say? You'll have to come back. Well done.

Found this place a few steps from Ponte Sisto. Excellent food, every dish from the antipasto, il primo, secondo and contornos were great. To get to the restaurant from the bridge you have to walk past a few places that have a sales type person out front.
