Excellent carbonara and homemade cheesecake at a spectacular price. Very good treatment from the people at the restaurant, a pearl of homemade food hidden in Rome!

Small environment, few tables inside, makes up for it with seats outside. Quick and courteous service, fair portions and a good variety of first courses, second courses and side dishes. Good quality/price ratio. Highly recommended.

We had a great lunch at an outside table. Service was prompt during busy lunchtime. We waited for about 10mins to be seated as the restaurant was quite full. Great pasta, also had the meatballs with potatoes batter (like hashbrown) + desert and drinks all very reasonably priced.

The food was exceptional. The best eggplant parmesan and the best tiramisu eaten in Rome. The menu changes every day and the place seems very popular among the locals. I have nothing to complain about the service, but only for the fact that they forgot the pasta I ordered. After letting them know, I received something else, and to receive what I originally ordered, I waited 45 minutes. It was not pleasant. Finally, the waiter apologized.

Super lunch! We were looking for a place for a quick first course and luckily we ended up here. Excellent food, generous portions and kind, smiling people! Thank you! :)

Very nice address frequented by locals. Very good dishes and reasonable prices (8.5€ for pasta for example) water included with the dish at lunchtime.

21/03/2024: Sublime chocolate and very kind and knowledgeable staff! The shop is small, but very, very welcoming and centrally located (near Piazza Unità). Every time I go back, now for Easter, I am amazed by the professionalism and kindness of the staff! Despite the high turnout and the amount of work, they are always very efficient and courteous, which is unfortunately not common, but which makes a huge difference and always makes the purchase pleasant.

02/09/2024: I rarely give five stars but Il Ciocco deserves all five. We debated on a few restaurants after visiting Villa Gregoriana as there are a few in Tivoli with views of the gorge and falls. We were so pleased with not only the view at Il Ciocco on its stunning beautiful terrace but the food was melt in your mouth superb! We had mozzarella di buffalo e prosciutto, lemon sauce ravioli, gnocchi, the filet and lemon delicia from lemons from the Amalfi coast and every bite was heavenly. Best meal hands down our whole trip in Rome, Orvieto and Tivoli. The wait staff was kind and attentive and filled our drinks immediately without even us asking them to. It’s a must visit on your itinerary. Bravissimo Il Ciocco!
