Osteria da Paolina In Roma

I went to this osteria in the Parioli area for lunch, specifically seeking it out after reading the excellent reviews. I was very pleased with the carbonara and the cacio e pepe my wife had. The meatballs in tomato sauce, with cheese inside, were also excellent, and to finish, a cremolosa with a truly delicious yellow cream. The portions were generous and the price was excellent.

The perfect place for authentic food at an unbeatably low price. Highly recommended.

I don't know whether to give one star or five stars...but why? A place where you can eat authentic Roman pasta, like the philosophical cacio e pepe pictured, or stuffed meatballs in tomato sauce (unfortunately, my palate is quicker than my hand, so no photo), or a homemade cheesecake that displays its creaminess and deliciousness on the plate at a ridiculously low price for the area (€8.50 for a pasta dish, €10 for a very generous main course), homely service, almost rustic to say the least, a spartan but never tacky atmosphere...what's not to like? Perhaps someone in Parioli expects a chic place, a gourmet restaurant, a hangout for aperitifs in a suit and tie, and instead you find Osteria da Paolina, which defies every rule and every expectation...where are we when we enter Paolina? Some say: in Rome! I prefer to say: at home. And at home, I feel like giving five stars...like it or not, highly recommended!

A place with a homey atmosphere, delicious carbonara, although it could use a little more of that delicious sauce. The fish was also excellent, and the cookie that came as a gift was also delicious. I recommend it, very tasty, very reasonable prices.

Osteria da Paolina is a very cozy little place, with super cute outdoor tables too. The staff is polite and friendly, the wait is short, and the food is delicious! The price is excellent for what you get. I had the citrus chicken escalopes with a side of gratinated peppers. Mouth-watering! I would definitely go back 💯%. Must try!

Awesome experience! I had the "cacio e pepe" and my girlfriend had the "chicken scaloppine with citrus fruits." It was a fantastic meal; I snatched everything left from my girlfriend's plate with the mop. To finish, a very fresh fruit salad and a coffee!

Family owned osteria. Beautiful food. Best food we’ve had in Italy so far. Highly recommended.

Was staying in a hotel 8 minutes walk away. Picked here for lunch. Family run. Packed with locals which we took as a good sign. Food was delicious. Service was prompt, polite and full of smiles. Excellent value. Really great little street cafe clearly adored by locals. Everyone in our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children: 17, 15 and 9) enjoyed their food and scrapped their plates clean. Thank you!
