This restaurant has an open terrace next to the square. I happened to pass by and had dinner there. The beef carpaccio, seafood black ravioli, and flat pasta with pork ragu were all delicious and filling.

We loved the view and sitting outside facing the square on a rainy Venetian afternoon was nice. The food wasn’t great and the service was bland. I would stop here for a coffee or a drink and take in the square before moving on. There’s so many hidden restaurant gems tucked into quiet side neighborhoods to discover and I would recommend doing just that!

We spent several hours enjoying spritzes outside here. The staff was very gracious even though we were being loud Americans! The margherita pizza was pretty good but that’s the only food we tried.

Atmosphere is everywhere in Venice let’s face it - we stumbled across this little restaurant when we were returning from St Marco Square late one night They had home made pasta on the board - not sure but food was good We shared the starters ….salad & sardines - two different starters The Rose wine was great - had two glasses and main meal excellent too haha love tomatoes & basil - Pompadora Food good perfect for dinner

07/09/2025: Hidden Terrace. I saw in another review. Great description. Was very fortunate to hang out here for the Regatta Storica. Great seat to sit and watch the parade and the races as they fly by but also just as great to sit on the grand canal and enjoy the gondolieri who loiter nearby as they pass time in between fares. Prices are fare or even at a value relative to many locations on the main thoroughfare. Service is nice if you’re not expecting the world. Perhaps they are on island time. Which is great. IMHO.

14/10/2025: The food was of a very, very high standard My mother and I each ordered a personal pizza (it was huge) with a variety of vegetarian toppings! The orange juice was also really tasty, which was made on the spot We also bought some almond cake-flavored cookies for home (you can see them in the picture after we ate some) that we only got to eat three weeks after we returned from the trip, and they were so delicious that I regretted not buying anything else! The staff doesn't speak English well, it was difficult to communicate with them, so it ruined the experience a bit. They weren't particularly nice, but we got over it and really enjoyed the delicious food and the atmosphere 😘😊❤️🌻
