We visited for lunch on a Friday in late October. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful, able to speak Italian and French with the customers at various tables. Each dish has its own explanation and story, and guests learn every detail of the products they taste. We felt at home.

We went to Osteria da Nando in Aosta and had a wonderful meal! The atmosphere is welcoming, the service friendly, and the price was absolutely right for the quality.
The bourguignonne was truly delicious, with a very tender, top-quality cut of meat.
The salad surprised us with its freshness and unique combinations, and the Mont Blanc dessert was a delicious finish.
A place where you can eat well and feel at ease: highly recommended! 👏

Good but I expected something more, at times it seems a bit "touristy", smoked polenta very good, second courses so-so

Excellent Aosta Valley cuisine. Impeccable service. Prices are a bit high for the quantity, but that's in favor of the quality.

A must-see spot on any visit to Aosta. This family-run restaurant offers the best of Valdosta cuisine with luxurious presentation. The service is unbeatable; they make you feel right at home. We had a splendid evening. Recommended is an understatement. Reservations are essential because it's small.

I discovered Osteria da Nando thanks to the Michelin guide (not a Michelin star, but definitely worthy of it) and it was a wonderful surprise. The traditional Aosta Valley cuisine is top-notch: we tried polenta with DOP Fontina cheese and butter, "zuppa vapelenentse," and the spectacular "Fondue Bourguignonne," accompanied by excellent homemade sauces and top-quality meat. The service is truly impeccable: kindness, smiles, and invaluable advice on wines and grappas, with constant attention throughout the dinner. The wine list is well-curated, featuring local selections and native grape varieties. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the dining room small but very pleasant. This is more than fair, especially considering the authentic experience we had. It's a shame we couldn't find a table the following evening, because we would have loved to return!

Wow, wow, wow - what an experience! A true local Aosta Valley meal.
As a couple, the waiter recommended us to take the 1957 menu, which is five courses, plus two more, as well as wine pairings.
We prefer white wine, so we had only whites - overall 5 glasses each, and he gave us 10 different wines to taste, all from Aosta Valley. It was a wonderful taste of the local viticulture, and all were really good.
The food was very good as well - from the spinach quiche, to the pasta with fish, and best of all - the Bourgiugnne diss, which is self made beef fillet cuts in warm water you prepare at the table.
Excellent service, delicious food and a unique local experience.
It cost us 160 Euros, which is a fair and even a low price for the food and wine we had.
One of the best restaurants I’ve been to! Very recommended!

Go now! Incredible and delicious recipes passed down through 4 generations and featured in the Lonely Planet. All of the generations of family members are on hand to serve you and share with you. I have the honor of visiting northern Italy every year. The food is always superior but this is THE best meal that I’ve ever had in Italy!
