We had lunch with some decent appetizers, frico, salami, and polenta. The chicken was well-cooked and not dry, and the biscuits with cream were delicious.

This small and very quaint osteria doesn't serve first courses, and meat (of excellent quality) reigns supreme. If it focused more heavily on tradition, it would be a fantastic place, but since it has virtually no kitchen, it's had to tailor its offerings to a certain type of food. It would be four stars+; the fifth is a bonus for the quaint, increasingly rare setting and the friendly service. The place is small, so reservations are highly recommended; parking is commensurate with the size of the place.

Had dinner with two young men. Courteous and helpful service. No-frills cuisine. 3 Angus steaks, 3 appetizers, water, and a tiramisu, €60. Fair considering the quality. We were on the modest outdoor terrace, with a particularly excited table nearby that prevented an acceptable level of conversation, which was very disruptive. They seemed familiar with the service... But we were also getting along well with the other tables. The wine is good, but good manners are still lacking.

Siete in zona San Donà di Piave e cercate qualcosa di veramente caratteristico? Cercate cordialità e semplicità (che poi non vuol dire poco…)? Allora siete nel posto giusto!
Ci siamo entrati in otto nei nostri soliti giri per l’Italia e tutti otto siamo rimasti entusiasti!
Persone e cibo voto 10! Vino 10! Genuinità 10! Se poi entro nel dettaglio: qui si può mangiare solo antipasti e secondi perché fanno solo preparazioni crude o alla piastra… Questo è bene bene dirlo! Ma non è un minus… È un plus! Perché tutto è davvero ottimo e ricercato non posso dirvi cosa è meglio o cosa è peggio! Posso solo fare i complimenti a chi ha pensato a tutto questo! E chiedervi una cosa: non venite… Lasciate il posto a me!
