What a great find! Tucked away from the main tourist traps. Excellent service, delicious food, great value and a cosy traditional atmosphere. Would highly recommend plus there is a fab cocktail bar next door too!

We loved everything about Mario's: the excellent and flavorful traditional cuisine (with a good variety of vegetarian options), the warm welcome, the service and advice, and the friendly, family atmosphere. Our only regret: discovering this gem on the last night of our stay. We would have loved to try everything, and Osteria da Mario is definitely worth a return trip to Rome 😊 Thank you for everything! NB: According to some reviews here and on Trop Adviso, the service and cuisine aren't to everyone's liking. So I just want to add: this isn't a tourist trap that herds diners onto the sidewalk. A minimum of effort (politeness, curiosity about the flavors, respect for the work in the kitchen) is required, just like in any restaurant you visit outside of your vacation. Smile, ask, and you're all set! And if you're looking for so-called standardized, internationalized Italian cuisine, look elsewhere!

Tasty, traditional food, attentive, and welcoming staff, ready to meet customer needs in a very pleasant manner, even on a rainy evening. One caveat: better ventilation inside is needed. Well done!

A truly satisfying experience! This restaurant lives up to its name! The deliciousness of the VeRO food, the sincerity and frankness of the extremely polite staff, and a place that seems to have stood still. We'll definitely be back! Highly recommended (artichokes, puntarelle, broccoli, chickpea soup... everything was superb!)

Recommended for those who love rustic dishes and are looking for authentic cuisine. We were in Rome for a few days with friends and children...at Osteria da Mario, we immediately felt at home in a familiar and welcoming atmosphere, with all its Roman charm. Thanks to the host and the entire osteria.

Excellent place! The Carbonada was excellent, and the tiramisu and the Nonna's Cake were superb.

This restaurant is hidden 5 minutes away from the Pantheon, a quiet, cozy place with welcoming personnel and delicious food.
