We were on a photography trip. We booked for 8 people, but since we were running late, we called to ask if we could move the reservation. There were no problems; they welcomed us warmly and kindly. We had a bit of everything: mixed appetizers for everyone, 8 first courses, 7 desserts, 6 coffees, house red wine, a glass of white wine, and water. We spent €35 each, a little expensive, but everything was delicious, especially the artichokes, which were heavenly. I would gladly return, both for the food and the hospitality. A wonderful experience.

At Osteria Mamma Mia, you breathe Rome as soon as you step inside.
A historic restaurant that retains the soul of tradition, with its aromas, flavors, and warm welcome.
We started with a tasty and carefully crafted appetizer, then moved on to a first course that truly surprised us: spaghetti with clams and pecorino cheese, a perfect combination of seafood and Roman flavors, executed to perfection.
Next, a textbook Roman-style tripe, tender and flavorful, cooked with that homey touch that only true osterias can provide.
The service was impeccable: friendly, attentive, and always smiling.
They make you feel at home, but with the elegance of professional service.
A true gem for those seeking authentic Roman cuisine, with dishes that tell stories and a passion that shines through in every bite.
We'll definitely be back!

The pasta was impeccable, but the service was terrible. The waiters were rude and unreasonably strict.
Before responding to the restaurant owner's request for clarification, I decided to return, and I stand by my assessment: the food was excellent, but the attention paid to the customers was lacking.
Like the first time, I arrived around 1:40 PM. Outside, there were six empty tables for four people and three small tables (tiny and leaning against the wall of the building) for two. I asked, like the first time, if we could sit at the table for four to have more space. The tables weren't even set, and all we had to do was move two paper placemats and two plates. This time, too, we were rudely told that it certainly wasn't possible. Obviously, from that point on, no other customers arrived, and the tables remained empty. I never would have asked if their tiny tables for two (with small folding chairs) weren't objectively uncomfortable for someone who's 6'3" tall. It's the little touches that make you decide whether or not to return to a place. Anyway, the food was excellent, I can confirm that.

A typical Roman osteria that preserves culinary traditions and passes them on to its customers. Excellent food prepared with love and care. Attentive service and extremely friendly and welcoming staff.

Fast and friendly service despite the large number of tables. The dishes are local but served with little touches of originality. The pasta plates are generous. Highly recommended.

Recommended by a friend who's also Ligurian, I wanted to try this Osteria during my stay in Rome. It's a very well-maintained restaurant, with indoor and outdoor seating, fast service, and very friendly staff. Naturally, I tried typical Roman dishes, such as carbonara (short pasta, perfectly al dente and a thick cream), coratella (just the right amount and beautifully plated), and finished with an excellent tiramisu, all accompanied by a good house red wine, served by the bottle.
I'll definitely be back, very happy to.
