Very good food, delicious steak, but the winner is the chocolate cake with ricotta, I recommend it :)

After reading a review this restaurant came highly recommended for a traditional Tuscan meat restaurant.
It was a few minutes from Arezzo but you need a car to get there. We were lucky that we came a few minutes after last order, but they agree to serve us.
Place was quite full.
We chose the Pici Duck Ragout which was so tasty. Probably best pasta of our trip.
We also ordered pork Liver encased in Bacon in fat with pieces of Lard. It looked so good. A true local speciality.
But the liver was hard and a bit dry, not as good as the one in Osteria L’agania in Arezzo.
Their claim to fame was the Bistecca Fiorentina. They cut and show you the meat before cooking it.
It’s not a porterhouse but a bone in Steak. The meat is not as great of quality as the best that Florence can offer.
It was cooked really well. BUT it was not to my liking because they didn’t flavor the steak in anyway. They expect you to do it yourself. They give you olive oil and salt and pepper.
Problem is …. That’s not how I prepare my steaks. Without any experience I just couldn’t get the steak to taste right. And I just didn’t have the confident to salt the steak enough. Still the taste of the meat was good and came really well prepared.
There was 1 girl who spoke really good English and she helped us a lot with ordering. Service with everyone involved was excellent, a true family trattoria.

I tried to book this place, but initially there wasn't a table available, but then I managed to find a table in the bar area. I couldn't have made a better choice; we ate divinely. A house antipasto with a wealth of Tuscan dishes, and then we sampled a truly delicious tagliata, cooked to perfection.
Aside from all this, it's a place where hospitality comes first. I'll be back very soon.

There's not much to say... Always a guarantee in everything... Food, hospitality in a family atmosphere that envelops you with warmth.
You'll wonder why you've never been here before... It's mandatory to call ahead, otherwise you'll never find the place...

Situato dove finisce la città, locale a conduzione familiare con un servizio attento e veloce. Piatti prevalentemente tipici, come la pappa al pomodoro e la pasta fatta in casa proposta con vari condimenti. Buoni anche i secondi, con ampia offerta di carne ai ferri/griglia. Buona carta dei vini, con ricarichi non eccessivi (esclusi quelli pregiati). Rapporto qualità/prezzo equilibrato (un pò stridente il coperto di 3 euro, senza tovaglia di stoffa)
