It was a pleasant discovery to find, on a gloomy day in February, a comfortable, pleasant, warm, intimate environment, a courteous and punctual service, but above all a quality cuisine both in the raw materials and in the dishes based on seafood and expertly prepared fish. The restaurant is furnished in a modern, elegant style, welcoming, with perfect lighting, especially the room with fireplace. It is located on a hill about 400 m above sea level, in a town surrounded by the Belluno Prealps, which commands a panoramic view of the plains below. The price is adequate, around 55 per person with welcome dish, seafood-based starter, fish-based main course and side dish, water, a good bottle of Trentino bubbles, dessert, coffee and Scotch whisky. Osteria da Franco is more than an Osteria, it is rather difficult to define such a particular environment at the foot of the Cansiglio. You have to try it, you eat well, you drink well, there is kindness and friendliness. The fish is super (I don't eat meat) and the recipes are never banal and always linked to seasonality.
