Osteria da Fortunata - Baullari In Roma

I went to this restaurant with my family, everything was very good.

Great pasta, but service needs work. Our bruschetta, which we ordered as an appetizer, arrived with the main dishes, one order was forgotten, and no one checked on drinks. We also felt rushed to finish.

Superb experience!! The carbonara was a 10/10, sublimely creamy, and the homemade pasta...the staff were friendly, especially the waiter who served us, who was really nice! Good food and generous portions...recommended!!

This place is popular. Obviously. I ate at one of their locations a year ago in Milan and it was really great. Service, food? Ambiance, amazing. I think as with any place that is Instagram/tiktok famous and benefitting from it -multiple locations in each city, expanding to even Miami- that comes with the danger of a dilution of dining experience that originally made it special and that's what happened recently in Rome. The line of people outside watching you eat is uncomfortable, the brutal super bright fluorescent overhead lighting of the covered outdoor space, and very rushed service -all for food that's actually great- makes you feel like you're being moved through some sort of human feeding experience on a conveyor belt, not having dinner. I remembered great service and a great experience firm Milan but was disappointed and couldn't wait to be done and go somewhere else after. The food is great, but does it balance out some of the negatives? Not sure. I knew what we were getting into so it is fine I suppose.

Friendly staff, fresh pasta made to order, delicious desserts—this place is on my list of favorites to return to! I recommend it without hesitation!

Just came back from a great visit to this branch for our first visit to this fantastic pasta place! Brilliantly cooked pasta, we had carbonara and gnocchi al ragu, both absolutely amazing. Can’t wait to go back to explore the menu. Prices are perhaps slightly higher than other places but certainly worth it.

We went for dinner and the were very patience with our bad Italian, all the dishes 100/10 and with aperol is a plus ++

I'd been wanting to try Osteria da Fortunata for a while, drawn by its fame and intrigued, despite the prices for the first courses being a bit higher than average. I finally went: the portions are truly generous, and you definitely won't leave hungry. The quality is good, the dishes are tasty, but overall I didn't find anything exceptional. On a positive note: the staff was very kind, friendly, and knowledgeable, contributing to a pleasant experience nonetheless.

Very noisy restaurant. We agreed to pay the service tax when we got the bill, which is done in many restaurants in Rome. But what we didn't appreciate was that they asked us for another tip.

We went for dinner and at 7pm there was no line. They seated us right away. Excellent food and excellent location. Super friendly staff. Recommended. 1 pasta dish, 1 main course and side dish with water €50.
