When you walk through the doors of Osteria da Ersilia in Perito, in the heart of Cilento, you're not just entering a restaurant: you're entering a family. This is immediately evident from the genuine friendliness of Leo and Ersilia, who welcome you with the communicative and warm spirit of those who truly love what they do.
But the magic is revealed on the plate. We started with an aperitif that perfectly whetted the appetite, followed by two first courses that showcase the mastery of the kitchen: anchovies with broccoli, fresh and delicately balanced, and pork ragù, rich with the flavor that only tradition can provide. I won't tell you to choose one over the other—both are worth trying.
The second courses are splendid: smoked scamorza cheese placed on lemon leaves is a touch of elegance that never goes amiss, followed by grilled goat cheese that retains just the right amount of creaminess. The fig jam that accompanies everything is the detail that transforms the good into the extraordinary.
The organic Aglianico/Cabernet wine proves to be a perfect choice, while the desserts—four cannoncini with ricotta and caramel—provide a sweet and convincing finale. The San Severino Amaro closes everything out with a bold and fragrant note.
And the bill? It was completely worth the price, fair and transparent, as it should be.
Osteria da Ersilia is more than just a place to visit in Cilento: it's a place to highlight, emphasize, and recommend to anyone who loves good food made with love.

Homey atmosphere. A warm yet professional welcome. Fast and precise service. Excellent quality traditional cuisine. Excellent cheeses. I enjoyed the mustards and jams served with the cheeses.
I confirm the top dish, the scarpariello. Truly excellent. It's worth returning, especially for the first courses and cheeses. Good wine list. Appreciable Cilento wines.
The entrance needs a bit of attention. But that day, with the rain and wind, it was fine.
My only suggestion is to put a sign in front of the front door; I accidentally entered the kitchen. Oh.

A little gem in the heart of Cilento that's definitely worth a visit. The atmosphere maintains the authenticity of a true traditional osteria, where you can still feel the genuine atmosphere of the Cilento villages.
The owners and staff demonstrate excellent preparation and a warm welcome that makes you feel at home. Their passion for local culinary traditions shines through in every dish served.
The quality of the products we tasted was consistently high, demonstrating a particular attention to the selection of raw materials and their preparation.
Perito itself is a small village waiting to be explored, and Osteria da Ersilia perfectly embodies the spirit of these places, where tradition and hospitality blend harmoniously.
An authentic experience that I highly recommend to anyone seeking the true flavors of Cilento in a welcoming, family-friendly setting.

You don't just go to Osteria da Ersilia to eat: you go to feel good. It's one of those authentic places, where the atmosphere is familiar, the pace is slow, and once you sit down... you never want to leave. An unmissable stop in the heart of Cilento, where cooking is a home-cooked experience.
The dishes are sublime, all cooked by ERSILIA herself with quality ingredients and a touch of passion that's evident from the first bite to the last.
