Osteria Cavolo Nero In Empoli

A small restaurant in the center of Empoli. Good food and a friendly waiter (more of a host than a waiter). On weekends, it's best to make a reservation.

The food was delicious, even though I ate fried food, it didn't stick in my stomach. The place is quiet, with no disturbing noise. The only downside is that they're a bit slow in bringing the dishes.

We had dinner on Saturday, the place was really lovely, small and very welcoming... The food was really good!!!!! Highly recommended, I would definitely go back

Central location, refined dishes, reasonable prices. Portions aren't too large.

We dined at the tables outside and the atmosphere wasn't the best because the city center isn't really that great and the smell of sewage was everywhere (obviously not the restaurant's fault). We had two well-made first courses, which were good but nothing exceptional, although my tortelli with tripe were a bit salty. The wine by the glass was good.

A very good little restaurant. A simple menu with a few dishes, both meat and seafood. The pasta is excellent, as are the five desserts on the menu, and the service is impeccable.

I went there with my wife for dinner, and it was delicious! I ordered a starter (cheese platter), a main course (ravioli cavolo nero), and a second course (pork with arugula and Parmesan). The food arrived quickly and was fantastic; we also ordered a bottle of wine. I highly recommend this restaurant. Since we were there on a Monday, it was quite empty, and it was easy to get a table.

We were seeking refuge and food on a very rainy day in Empoli and found it by accident in this lovely cosy restaurant . The waiter ( who I think is also the owner ) greeted us warmly and tolerated our very poor Italian . I am coeliac and I was given a piece of delicious Brie and my husband was given a tomato and bread based dish while we waited for our meal to cook . I had pork fillet with caramelised figs and my husband steak . Both dishes cooked to perfection and very generous portions . There is a large selection of wines , which they also sell by the bottle , but I settled on a glass of house red which was lovely . Very reasonably priced at 16 euros for the pork and 18 euros for the steak . Highly recommend if you visit Empoli ( hope weather better for you !)
