Beautiful place, I recommend spring/summer for the stunning outdoor space with exposed waterfalls. Super friendly and very professional. Excellent food! I recommend booking as it's very popular.

Amazing location! Even more so in the summer, sitting outside, thanks to the sound of the stream next to the building. I still remember the aroma of the mixed mushroom appetizer... then the chestnut gnudi (I think they're the only ones who make them - I've never seen or heard them anywhere else)... the duck (the highlight!) melts in your mouth... enough to make the French envious. Finally, I sampled their homemade desserts - absolutely delicious.
We'll see each other again... also because I'm fond of those areas, often overlooked or under-explored!

Exceptional and a must-try if you're in the area. The menu is a little complicated to understand, but everything we had was delicious.
The service is impeccable and extremely friendly.
The restaurant is warm, beautiful, and comfortable.
We had a wonderful evening.

The staff was very professional and friendly. The food was nothing special, the portions were very small, and I don't understand why given the price. If you want unpretentious food, professional service, and a 4/5-star location, I recommend it.

A place where time stands still. On both sides of a stream and small ponds in the woods... this is the osteria in Candalla. A beautiful location. The owners and staff are all very kind and professional. The menu is original, yet traditional. Prices are accordingly, but it's worth it.

I went to Osteria Candalla with a couple of friends, honestly one of the most unique places I saw in Tuscany. Right next to the river, trees everywhere, almost like you walk in some secret garden, not easy to find but that makes it special I guess. The food was good, I had pasta with wild boar sauce, strong taste but not too much, delicate somehow, hard to explain, my friend had grilled meat and it was really juicy. The waiter came with a wine suggestion, local one, and it was actually perfect with the pasta, even if I don’t usually notice this stuff. Prices not cheap, but ok, because you are not only eating, you are in this crazy natural spot.
