A place where time stands still. On both sides of a stream and small ponds in the woods... this is the osteria in Candalla. A beautiful location. The owners and staff are all very kind and professional. The menu is original, yet traditional. Prices are accordingly, but it's worth it.

I went to Osteria Candalla with a couple of friends, honestly one of the most unique places I saw in Tuscany. Right next to the river, trees everywhere, almost like you walk in some secret garden, not easy to find but that makes it special I guess. The food was good, I had pasta with wild boar sauce, strong taste but not too much, delicate somehow, hard to explain, my friend had grilled meat and it was really juicy. The waiter came with a wine suggestion, local one, and it was actually perfect with the pasta, even if I don’t usually notice this stuff. Prices not cheap, but ok, because you are not only eating, you are in this crazy natural spot.

A lovely place, it feels like you're in a fairytale.
Location. It deserves 6 stars.
I recommend both lunch and dinner. The aperitif is incredible, sitting by the stream with unique cocktails!

A truly fairytale-like location, immersed in lush nature with the sound of a babbling stream in the background—it's impossible not to love it. The option of having an aperitif on the opposite side of the Riva is a lovely option, allowing you to enjoy the location even more. Everything is meticulously curated yet at the same time very naturalistic, not at all forced, fully respecting the local area. The food is good, with average flavors, and the quality/price ratio is quite good, especially considering the unique location. I was impressed by the stain remover with a brush and toothpicks for guests in the bathroom. Highly recommended!

We finally managed to have lunch at this well-known osteria in Camaiore, whose unique feature is its location partly on the riverbed, where you can enjoy an aperitif (naturally, during the months when the river allows it).
I could spend hours talking about the location, and I'll let the photos do the talking.
I'd rather compliment the menu, which offers a truly unique offering, with innovative twists while still maintaining traditional dishes.
The service was truly attentive.

The place is wonderful, beyond all expectations, and beautifully organized. The service is good. The food is fine, but has a few flaws. I loved the local wine. The duck could have used more chocolate to better complement the meat's minerality. The crema catalana was a complete fail, as, despite its flavor, it had a soggy crust. The bitters are unreasonably expensive.
