We discovered this place by chance for lunch, and we loved it so much we came back for dinner too 😍 The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, and the place was pleasant with lots of ceramics on the walls. As a vegetarian, I often struggle to eat out because there aren't many options, but here I found more than one vegetarian option, and there are also vegan and gluten-free dishes!! The ribollita, beans, and pappa al pomodoro were delicious. My carnivorous companion really enjoyed the meat. I highly recommend this place ♥️

Nice osteria offering good food. The menu consists almost solely of Tuscan dishes. They have great tagliata di manzo (sliced beef), wild boar stew, beef stew, pici (typical Tuscan pasta) cacio e pepe, tagliatelle with wild boar sauce, and tuna steak. Highly recommend

Thanks for having us for lunch. 😀 We had the wild boar ragu and the pork ragu, service was very fast and the staff were nice. The boar tasted very hearty and good and the pork was totally different flavour profile with a much more acidic and flavourful with aromatic undertones of white wine. Well priced also . Thank you. Pastas were 13 euro each - very good for quality and location so close to the centre of Siena and the food came very fast.

Welcoming place, polite and professional staff, delicious food and delicate in its tastes, we had pici with sage and almond pesto and a peposo with spinach accompanied by two excellent glasses of red wine, highly recommended, we will return

Mr. Mario is always discreet and professional in his service, while Mrs. Anna, an excellent cook, moves from table to table with a smile, chatting with guests and making everyone feel at home. The food is high-quality, freshly prepared, and carefully presented. The value for money is unbeatable, and even the house wine, served in a carafe, is surprisingly good. Highly recommended. And for lovers of cacio e pepe pasta... it's a must-try!

Ristorante Il Cantinone

12/02/2026: Recommended by locals, I found simple, home-cooked cuisine where pici pasta, seasoned in various ways, is the star of the menu. I also tried a platter of mixed cheeses and sautéed radicchio. If you're looking for authentic cuisine, this is an excellent place.
