Great food, we had the famous florentine steak, cooked to perfection. Kind service and good recommendations. We didn't feel as if we were in a tourist trap, the restaurant was full of Italians! Really great local wine selection too! We will hopefully be back! Grazie!

Tuvimos la suerte de encontrar una mesa para la cena. Restaurante romántico y acogedor en la Vieja Siena, donde ofrecen comida típica toscana. Teníamos un poco de Tagliere misto como antipasti, y una tagliata con espinacas como principal (perfectamente cocinado, sabroso y tierno). El vino tinto que nos sirvieron estaba delicioso. Buenos precios

Localino carino vicino a Piazza del Campo e al Duomo quindi comodo per una pausa pranzo tra una visita e l'altra. Entrambi abbiamo preso uova al tartufo che ci hanno soddisfatto . Abbiamo poi optato io per una pappa al pomodoro e mio marito per un piatto di pasta con sugo alle mandorle. Per aver scelto il posto a caso non ci possiamo lamentare. Consigliato.

Trattoria La Torre

13/06/2025: If you like to be slightly out of the hustle and bustle but still enjoy some authentic local cuisine, then Trattoria la Torre is a fine choice. On a side street off of the main plaza, its shady, street side tables offer some relief from the summer heat. We chose the gnocchi and local Pica pasta, both served with a wild boar sauce and they were delicious. The service was great and we chatted with the waiter about his experience of being a Budist monk! Amazing. Highly recommend!
03/06/2025: Typical Tuscan trattoria in Siena, family-run since 1943 (I hope I didn't get the year wrong) located in a small alley behind the Torre del Mangia and a stone's throw from Piazza del Campo. Small but functional place, home-made food, discreet but made with passion. Friendly owner even if sometimes he gets a bit lost and the orders arrive a bit late. All in all a positive experience! Honest prices

04/06/2025: This was our best meal in Italy. We didn't have reservations but arrived when they opened and were seated immediately (2 of us). We got the artichoke truffle tortino, the cacio e pepe, pesto gnocchi, and steak with cream sauce and caramelized onions. Everything was AMAZING. I have never tasted anything like the artichoke tortino and it was to die for. The pastas were perfectly cooked and the steak was amazing. 100% recommend going here if you are in Siena! Super close to Piazza del Campo as well.
