Posto meraviglioso. La titolare è stata di una comprensione e di una gentilezza incredibile. Avendo problemi di salute ha fatto di tutto per farmi stare bene . È bello vedere che c’è ancora gente con un animo sensibile ai problemi altrui. Complimenti sinceri.

Typical Friulian tavern. Good and tasty veal with tuna sauce and goulash. I would have expected a bitter offered by the house.

Typical Friulian tavern where you can taste the dishes of poor and recycled cuisine as your grandmother proposed them. The venue adds a touch of color and folklore with posters and archive photos from the 1930s. A balanced mix of political and historical fronts opposed in equal measure. A little chic but pleasant. There are outdoor tables with pergola. The dishes are few but all to be enjoyed for their authenticity and typicality. Cod with polenta, goulash, shank with potatoes, gnocchi, mushroom risotto, soups, local cold cuts. We tasted a risotto with spinach and sclopit (Selene, wild herb), frico with polenta (potato and Montasio cheese pie) and warm gubana with slovoviz. Serving of red wines by the glass (Merlot DOC) and white wines (Friulano or Tocai, so to speak, a name that has been banned for some years in Italy).

Practically in the center of Udine here is a real trattoria like it used to be. Few very well made dishes (and generous portions). The house wine is good, especially the white.
