OSTERIA AL PONTE In Gaiole in chianti

A very nice, comfortable place. I ate pasta and tried a piece of meat that was the best I've ever had. It's really worth it, the only thing I found was the music too loud.

What can I say? A refined and elegant atmosphere, a location unlike any other restaurant, with an excellent and unusual menu featuring new and original dishes not found in Chianti restaurants. Everything is freshly prepared and homemade, from the amazing bread to the desserts. Prices are average, and the quality is superb.

Excellent restaurant located right next to the Eroica shop. The atmosphere is welcoming and refined, perfect for a relaxing break after a visit or a tour of the area. The dishes are unique and truly delicious, made with quality ingredients and meticulously presented. The porcini mushrooms were spectacular, fresh and perfectly cooked, while the homemade bread was fragrant and flavorful. The prices aren't the cheapest, but considering the quality of the food and the overall experience, it was absolutely worth it. Recommended for those who love good, authentic cuisine.

I've been to Al Ponte several times and will happily return. Excellent food and wine, exceptional homemade bread served as an appetizer, delicious risotto, and, of course, a wonderful celebration of a delicious, large steak with a large glass of wine, surrounded by very friendly service.

Great restaurant with even better staff. Very personal from the start, great balance of formality and informality. Must go when in the area!

Das Essen im Al Ponte war geschmacklich wirklich gut – frisch zubereitet, fein abgeschmeckt und ansprechend angerichtet. Leider konnte der Service da nicht mithalten: Der Kellner wirkte von Anfang an eher arrogant und unaufmerksam. Besonders ärgerlich war, dass ich über 20 Minuten auf den bestellten Wein warten musste – obwohl mein Essen schon längst serviert war. Auf meine freundliche Nachfrage reagierte der Kellner schnippisch, anstatt sich zu entschuldigen oder sich um eine Lösung zu bemühen. Erst gegen Ende des Abends griff ein weiterer Servicemitarbeiter ein und nahm – ohne Kommentar oder Rückfrage – den Wein stillschweigend von der Rechnung. Das rechne ich dem Haus hoch an, zeigt aber auch, dass man sich des Problems bewusst war. Fazit: Die Küche ist absolut empfehlenswert, aber der Service war (zumindest an diesem Abend) leider enttäuschend. Schade – mit etwas mehr Herzlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit hätte es ein rundum schöner Besuch werden können.
