Living nearby we kept saying we go there whenever we want, it's close, never went; today having been late for personal things I said to go and eat at Al Majo, phoned to see if there was room, we went and we can only say that after lunch we asked ourselves how we hadn't come before. I took 2 creamed cod as appetizers, 3 bigoli (2 with cod and 1 with goose ragù), 1 Vicentina, 1 side dish, 1 dessert, 1 lt. of water, half of sparkling white wine, 2 sorbets, 2 coffees. Staff very kind and present without annoying, small but very nice place, excellent food; portions more than right for us, all this means that we will definitely return as soon as possible.

I had the opportunity to stop for lunch in this enchanting setting that I personally didn't know about... the villa is something fabulous.
I ate really well, pumpkin and bigoli, radicchio and sausage..
the only note of improvement is that the outside part remains in the shade in winter.
Nice staff.

L’osteria al Majo è un locale poco appariscente, ma estremamente accogliente e dall’anima familiare. I camerieri sono stati tutti gentilissimi, la cucina superlativa. La coscia d’oca con le patate è stato il piatto di carne più buono che io abbia mai mangiato. Prezzo corretto, anzi anche medio basso.

Very beautiful and typical location of a Venetian tavern. Very friendly staff and excellent quality proposals with excellent prices.

The Al Majo tavern is located next to Villa Contarini. The place is pleasant and has a nice outdoor terrace. We ate very well, the portions were generous and the service was fast and friendly. The fixed price menu (11 euros) included a second course with side dish (in the photo beef stew with polenta and cabbage), water, wine and coffee. We will return for sure.
