06/07/2025: Room- Stayed top floor #305, I believe it was. Perfect to accommodate the 4 of us. Cute older Italian theme room. Beds were comfortable enough. Shower wasn't as clean and drainage was poor. The windows can open but too hot to stay open. The AC was terrible, we were miserable and so hot, couldn't sleep. Luckily we were there for only 2 days. Some how mosquitoes got into our room. Our body was bitten at night, not sure where they came from. So don't stay here during the summer.
Service- Everyone was so sweet. Complementary basic breakfast of deli, cheese, cereal, yogurt, breads including crossiants and coffee/juice. Check-in is at 14:00, you can drop off luggages until rooms are ready.
Location- Perfect walking distance to San Marco attractions and everything else. Restaurant right beside the hotel, sandwich café across and gondola pick up is left on same street, about 90e for a group, up to 1 hrs. Walkable to train station, 30 mins.
If it wasn't for air conditioning and bug issue, then I would give this place 5 stars but the lack of sleep made us very grumpy.
01/07/2025: I had read some really bad reviews before going. I was worried about what to expect. We stayed in room 102 with our two sons, ages 7 and 9. The room was very clean. There were no flies or bugs. It had air conditioning. The only thing was that the shower cabin didn’t have glass, so the bathroom got very wet. The breakfast wasn’t great either, but what we had was enough to fill our stomachs. I don’t know what the other rooms were like, but the hotel itself, and the room we stayed in, was very clean. It had a rustic feel and was very in keeping with Venice. It was also very close to the center.
