We chose to have lunch here, after having looked at the restaurant's offer. We tried the appetizer consisting of creamed cod, boiled octopus and sardines in saor. Unfortunately we found the cod to have a strange and unpleasant taste, so much so that I was unable to eat it and the octopus's head was dirty (too bad because it was excellent and very soft!). We reported this to the staff and were told that the cod was fine as it is and the octopus was better if served with the innards. Alas, it will be a matter of taste. Apart from this, the sardines were excellent. We then had spaghetti with clams and bigoli in sauce, a tasty sauce and excellent quality fresh pasta. Despite the inconvenience of the appetizer, I would return to try the rest of the menu, as it offers traditional dishes. Excellent quality/price ratio, even if I would have halved the cost of the appetizer, working in the restaurant business, I know how important it is to recognize any errors during a service.

Can't really mark, as I didn't stay, three courses for dinner would have been too much and there was no other option, pitty

I've been there in the evening, I was given the menu and when I said, that three courses were too much for me in the evening, the lady, to whom I talked to, didn't mention, that there are other options, otherwise I would have definitely stayed.
I don't write comments to harm business, but just give my honest feedback. I didn't put any rating on food, service or ambiente, only overall.

Small place, but nice overall. Regarding the fixed evening menu, in my opinion, little choice, but the dishes offered are very accurate. Excellent service, kind and prepared girls in the dining room. I would go back

I had the pleasure of dining at Osteria Al Cichetto and I must say that the experience was truly positive. The dishes were excellent, prepared with care and with quality ingredients. Even the prices, considering that we are in Venice, were more than honest.
Special thanks go to our waitress, Ketty, who made the evening even more enjoyable. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly and nice, she was able to advise us perfectly, especially on wines, with great professionalism and passion. The attentive and welcoming service really made a difference.
If you are looking for a place to eat well and feel at home, Osteria Al Cichetto is definitely a must try!

1. You must order at least 2 plates per person. Since we are not big eaters, we never ordered a course and we never ordered more than 1 plate per person, including salad. It was a bit too much for us;; Moreover, my husband, who is an elementary school student, couldn't even begin to taste all the dishes except steak, so I ate all three dishes by myself and got full, so it was a waste to have so much left over. Compared to other restaurants where three plates cost over 80 euros, I ordered 4 plates and ended up paying 77 euros, so I don't think it's an expensive place.
2. However, it is a very difficult taste for elementary school students. Sardines in burrata cheese salad? Tuna tartare? I don't know about gourmets, but it's not recommended for elementary school students. It's very fishy and a bit salty. Is squid ink pasta really this fishy?

It's definitely not tasteless, it's a very difficult taste!!! Recommended for those who enjoy eating fishy foods.

Sono stato con alcuni amici che lavorano a Venezia per fare aperitivo con i classici cichetti. Sul prezzo non so dare informazioni (ero ospite) ma la qualità dei vini, accuratamente selezionati tra quelli naturali e presentati con dettagli sulla loro produzione, era davvero eccellente. Fantastiche anche le polpette, la frittura di baccalà e foglie di salvia e i crostini con il baccalà marinato, forse i migliori che ho provato.

Dietro consiglio di un'amica che vive a Venezia abbiamo pranzato in questa osteria.
Il cibo era delizioso, così come i vini e il servizio.
La posizione lo nasconde dalla grande folla di turisti, nonostante sia posizionato nelle immediate vicinanze della Stazione Ferroviaria, il che lo rende una piccola perla.
