The food was good, the only flaws in my opinion that contributed to the 3 stars (and which were really easily avoidable) were that they served us a crunchy (reheated) dumpling from the day before at the table, and the second basket filled with bread he had the gnocco of the day (please keep the gnocco from the day before) and the four bottles of glass water that we took arrived already open. In catering you shouldn't recycle these things, not opening them in front of the customer gives the impression that they shouldn't give... However, constructive feedback can also improve and we hope that restaurateurs will be more careful about these important details!
A €250 receipt and not even a free coffee were the farewell. If you want people to come back, even the grace of a coffee makes a lot in my opinion, because the environment and good preparation also make the difference!

We visited Al Cavaliere for lunch after the first visit in 2021. And again we had the most delicious food in a fantastic ambience. Gnochi fritti with the local lambrusco… we had all primi piatti and all are amazing. Try risotto if you can. Best return to try all. A must visit in Emilia Romagna. Thank you for the awesome and very memorable experience.

If you are looking for a quiet atmosphere surrounded by greenery, this is the place for you.
High quality food, every bite was divine, and selection of prestigious and vintage wines.
The waiter made the experience even more welcoming and unforgettable. A professionalism that is rarely found, congratulations!
The sweet 'brick' is certainly worth trying if you want to taste the flavors of the past, those of our grandmothers' desserts.
I will gladly return.

A well-kept and essential green space based on the quality of the raw materials.
Starter with excellent limousine and horse tartare (ask for their mayonnaise, excellent), excellent fried gnocco and ham. Tortelli made by them and excellent selection of meat. Obviously all accompanied by high-end wines and bubbles. The quality and service are 10 stars. Well done.

Osteria Al Cavaliere in Montecchio Emilia is an excellent traditional restaurant of the Parma/Reggio Emilia tradition. They have a smaller choice compared to other restaurants, but this is a pro: less choice and higher quality. All the dishes on the menu are excellent and expertly prepared.
The place is very nice, built in an ancient courtyard. There is also a beautiful summer veranda under which to dine.
I absolutely recommend the sweet brick, a very interesting reinterpretation of the classic Emilian dessert.

Nice and refined place, few tables, well managed. Well cooked dishes, excellent meat. Perhaps a note on the desserts, certainly good but a little more imagination wouldn't hurt and would be appropriate for the rest of the lunch. Price around €40, still worth trying, we were happy

Come sempre da queste parti e difficile trovare un ristorante dove nn si mangi bene!
Questo è una conferma. Materie prime eccellenti e proposta oltre il tradizionale, ma sempre senza esagerare.
Location ben ristrutturata con ampio parcheggio. Non molti tavoli e ben distanziati.
Servizio buono.
