The service was friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed excellent creamed cod (on crostoni) and fabulous bigoli with duck ragù. The interior ventilation needs some improvement; upon leaving, lingering kitchen odors lingered on our clothes.

A small trattoria under the porticoes, the menu features a few traditional dishes. Tasty appetizers, which I remember correctly as "spungiotti," similar to Venetian cicchetti, offer a variety of combinations. The boiled meat dish is truly generous and delicious. The duck pici are excellent. The wine list focuses on local cuisine. Traditional Venetian tiramisu is a must. Prices are a bit above average, but you'll leave feeling very satisfied. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the service is prompt. Reservations are recommended, as there aren't many tables. The only issue I've encountered is the lack of adequate ventilation. As others have mentioned, the smell from the kitchen lingers on your clothes.

A typical, small but friendly and welcoming tavern. We enjoyed our meal with wine by the glass. Be aware of the two sittings, 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM. Cost: about €40 per person.

Friendly welcome, a somewhat small and cramped space, and smells so strong that your clothes go straight into the washing machine upon leaving! Let's move on to the dishes: - Starters: 6 appetizers with the option of sharing; good but nothing special. - First courses: mezze maniche with pumpkin and cheese cream, good and delicate; the crepes with mushrooms and turnip tops were exceptional. A glass of wine with limited choices. I give it 3 stars because the crepes were excellent, but the rest was nothing special, and the unpleasant smell bothered me upon leaving. However, I recommend it because it's not easy to find a friendly welcome and good first courses in the area, or at least I wasn't lucky.

Convinced by the excellent reviews, I dined at this Osteria. The food was good, the atmosphere very informal. The cover charge was €2 for eating on paper placemats and chipped ceramic plates.

09/01/2026: We arrived in Padua and confidently searched the internet for a place to have dinner and our search allowed us to enjoy a dinner with well-prepared dishes from traditional Paduan cuisine, assisted by a friendly and never intrusive service.
07/01/2026: We visited this restaurant last July during a vacation and loved it. The restaurant is right in the city center, beautifully decorated, and has a pleasant atmosphere, with several tables, including barrel-style ones, and stools. The food is truly exceptional: Bigoli with Paduan court white ragù of guinea fowl and chicken, and Baccalà (Lofoten PGI stockfish cooked in milk) alla cappuccina with polenta, a Venetian recipe with nutmeg, cinnamon, raisins, and pine nuts. The spicy and sophisticated polenta was a real surprise, a refined and by no means predictable flavor. A special thanks to Beatrice, the waitress who looked after us: extremely kind, always smiling, and professional. A highly recommended place for those seeking quality and tradition.
