The place is very welcoming and warm, as are all the staff, who follow the lead of the maître d'/owner, who is also excellent at making recommendations and taking the time to guide you through the menu.
Excellent, fresh food, with the right balance of homemade and innovative.
The muerzi are excellent, the best dish, but so are the maccheroncini and carbonera.
A must-try if you're in Lecce.

We were walking around the old town and came across Osteria 203. Without a reservation, we stepped inside not knowing what to expect. Wow! The food and service are amazing! Fresh, traditional ingredients by very experienced chefs. Beautiful, local wine… we were truly happy. Food that makes you happy. I highly recommend the Baccalá, Tuna Sashimi with Burrata and the Tortelli Della Zita. The lamb rump was also prepared medium perfect with potatoes. We will absolutely be visiting again ❤️

The experience at Osteria 203 in Lecce was truly satisfying. I found the cuisine to be refined and sincere, showcasing the raw ingredients without unnecessary artifice. The tartares were excellent: the tuna tartare, fresh and balanced, and the Fassona tartare, impeccable in its finesse and flavor. But the real heartbreak came with a typical Lecce recipe: cecamariti, interpreted with respect for tradition and great technical expertise. The food here is truly excellent, and you can sense the love for the region.

We enjoyed all the dishes on the menu, imaginative and tasty, but... we were heartbroken to discover that the lasagna bolognese was frozen. 🤦🏻♀️ It's not done... it was also one of the specials of the day... Anyway, nothing that can't be fixed and never made again! Everything else was fine, the service was kind, polite, and friendly. We'll be back again to try other delicacies.
